Aturkan is probably the best hotel you will find in Kitale. Complete with a swimming pool, health club, a restaurant, cottages for those private;-) , or family gatherings, an executive bar and a classy club, Aturkan shines among the rest in this laid back farmer's town.
Also, if you are traveling by road to Lodwar from Nairobi or wherever and you need a night's rest, you probably want to do this in Kitale. And the place to do this is none other than Aturkan!response / report this review -

Great rooms, clean , food is good . A little far from the town and public transport , esp at night, so have a cab guys number at hand. Though cab to Kitale costs around $2 . Has a sound proofed basement night club

We visited the pool and resturant several times but haven't stayed in the hotel. The food is good but seldom is the order accurate. The chef likes to cook whatever he thinks you want, not what the menu says.

It's not a bad hotel when you are in Kitale. At least it offers more services than any other Hotel in Kitale. Located along Kitale Lodwar Road just 2KM from Kitale Town at the junction of Kitale Cherangany and Kitale Lodwar.

Visited first week of June 2017 for lunch, after hearing all the hype from a friend. The hotel is beautiful, but service sucks. We ordered food, after waiter took our orders and was pulled to I guess other more important guests, the service went south. Waitress didn't seem to know what they were doing. All we over heard was then conversing and asking out loud "when are visitors coming". Am a Kenyan and felt belittled that all attention is given to foreign tourists, while some of us can tip even better than them if that's what matters most. Food served was cold; asked for tomato sauce, we were given hot sauce. When I got upset and requested to speak to the manager, the waitress disappeared. I had to walk up and down hunting for anyone appearing to be a manager. He did apologise for the poor service, but didn't seem overly too concerned. The waiter who originally took our orders, was on point, but I guess got pulled to more "important" customers. He finally returned and apologized for the poor service we received while he was "away". Oh well, at least I know of one spot am not gonna be visiting

Fantastic place to stay in Kitale area. Staff very friendly and accommodations are good. Clean room and nice bed linens. Also has mosquito net. Only bad thing is that shower is small but then I'm a 6'4" mazunga. 😁

Really awesome underground club. Great experience. The liquor is expensive, unreasonably expensive actually. The wet fried meat was amazing, and the chef is really friendly.
