Location is excellent overlooking the town and lake so very nice view.
The rooms are rather average size, moderate cleanliness, wifi available but affected by power outages and takes long to be reset.

The place is mostly secure but sometimes too close to nature especially when red ants decide to invade the rooms.

Otherwise breakfast is normally very good add the tasty of the meals.

Overall, a good place to stay a couple of nights

Wow. When you want a little bit of difference from your typical hotel setting while in Homa Bay and want a laid back sort of venue, you may want to check out ACK Guest House. Constructed in a cottage type setting, this facility has a stunning view from a hilly vantage point overlooking Lake Victoria. When you wake up for breakfast, you are serenaded with the beautiful and calm view of the rising sun on the lake.

Other than this, my experience was discovering that they had a wizard of a chef who prepared simple but very appetizing meals, especially the breakfast. The little bit of downside was the plumbing situation occasioned by the heavy rains at the time of my stay which seemed to clog the water distribution system as we were told but this was remedied.

Additional tip would be that you carry a torch with you as blackouts do occur every now and then in Homa Bay, and for those that get freaked out due to small insects, some insecticide may comfort you for the occasional wandering bug that makes it through the window louvers given the cottage setting, as they are not hermetically sealed (You'll forget all that in the morning with the view of the lake ). Other than that, It's a facility worth staying at while in Homa Bay. Thumbs up !

It's such a nice place, have the best view of lake Victoria and in the most quiet place. Good for private meetings. One thing you need to improve on is the cooks. I didn't like some of the meals, Too local!!

Enjoyed my visit there last year until I went back this year and everything was horrible. The food was not fresh, there was either water shortage or no hot shower, bathroom had no lights and nothing was done even after reporting this.

Lovely private hotel on one of the hills in Homa Bay County slightly out of town. Beautiful view of Lake Victoria. Unique architecture which plays around with the steep incline. Rooms are all housed in a round cottage with two floors. Spacious rooms, fans provided due to the heat, mosquito nets, TV and very comfortable bed. Secluded and so would make a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of a busy town. Must visit hotel, best location in Homabay compared to other hotels. Has no bar and this is a plus for any non alcoholic persons.

You will enjoy a priceless panoramic view of Homa Bay from their restaurant. The Guest House is located on a the foot of a lonely hill, providing a great environment to work from.

Best view of Home Bay. Friendly staff, good service and fresh food. Rooms are a bit small, but the beds are good and the bathrooms are in good condition too.
