A small, standing only restaurant BUT the food, atmosphere and staff are amazing. Going to stop there because you MUST experience and try this spot.

Great little spot. The staff were great and the sake tasting was excellent. The garlic calamari was firmly in the “you can never add too much garlic” camp and so delicious, but everything was good.

One of the best meals we had in Kyoto! Everything was very fresh and well preparedthe chicken liver bbq and their sakes were to die for! Arigatou gozaimasu, chef Taka!

Love it!!! Have to try the wasabi chicken! So special and so nice!! Even thought it’s spicy. The owner lived in AU for three years. So can communicate in English now problem. U have to come!!

Great local find with friendly staff. Order the chicken thigh with green onions (in sauce) and the sashimi plate. And if you’re in the mood, the same tasting is fun! We went twice!

Best meal in Japan. Great experience eating at the bar. We had the tuna sashimi, steak tataki, lotus root tempura, shiitake mushrooms and the mackerel. Love this place.

Super friendly, our favorite meal in Kyoto! Cozy standing-bar, while you exchange niceties with the cooking team. Gave us complimentary champagne for our honeymoon! SAKE TASTING IS A MUST! =)

Amazing!!! So fun and delicious. Stood at the bar. Did the 7 sake tasting. Then, get a glass of your favorite. Sushi roll, grilled sweet peppers and grilled tomato and bacon were out of this world.
