It's a long hike. If you do the whole thing, it should be more than an hour. 20-30ish to get to the crossroads, and another 30-40 to go once around the mountain

伏見稲荷大社と言えば千本鳥居という位有名ですね。本殿からおもかる石のある奥社奉拝所までの往復の千本鳥居のコースは大変混雑していますが、稲荷山山頂への参道も正に千本鳥居。千本どころかそれ以上ありそうなくらいの鳥居の数に圧倒されます。

No doubt, the path made of torii gates are one of a kind. However, there are just so many people just like when you go to the vatican museum. Spoils it all 🙇🏻♀️⛩⛩⛩🙍🏻

鳥居の柱には奉納した人の名前（もしくは会社名）と住所、奉納した年月日が一本一本に刻まれています。この鳥居の奉納は誰でも出来ます。初穂料は、一番小さいタイプ（5号・柱の直径15cm)で17万5千円、一番大きいタイプの10号は130万2千円〜となっていて、奉納場所によって初穂料が異なるとのことです。

ゆったりと他の人に邪魔されずに好きなだけ思う存分写真を撮るには早朝か夜中の訪問が最適です。昼間は満員電車なみの混雑です。

Climbing up to 一の峰 is a workout. Stopping at the viewpoint halfway up rewards you with a great view of Kyoto, and is.more than good enough. Note that there is no view at Ichi-no-mine.

SenbonTorii where Chiyo run around Torii tunnel by the scene of movie "Memoir of a Geisha". Since very crowded, if you want clean shots, visit the earliest time in the morning. Admission fee is free.

One of the coolest locations you can visit in all of Kyoto. Go all the way up to the top and enjoy the fantastic view of Kyoto! Take left at the crossing far up on the mountain walk.
