Really lovely and absolutely worth the visit. It was beautiful, peaceful, and completely devoid of tourists (and tourist traps). We walked the length of the street up to the tori gate and ate a delicious meal at one of the restaurants/tea houses with thatched roofs. A wonderful highlight of our day and well worth the trip.
Lovely little street avoid Tuesdays and Wednesdays on the 2nd week of the month as they are closed for rest days
Journeyed to this place through mud, tears, and blood (15 mins walk) in the rain. Beautiful area but not much to do.
Pretty unmemorable. Only 1 building was even worth taking a picture.
Nice olace without crowd. At 4:30 pm saturday in summer all shops closed.
This Street was not what I was expecting. Reading day itineraries they suggested a visit recommending the shops here from unique souvenirs. However, there were only a few shops open when it was 2pm and mostly a deserted Street. I'm not sure if we had the wrong time or wrong day but I was a little disappointed. The street scape was lovely and looked preserved, but overall I wouldn't recommend a visit.
