Imprescindible en Kyoto. Además del jardín, no te pierdas la famosa pila de agua. Y una de las mejores tiendas de souvenirs que he visto, con montones de cosas chulas y auténticas, no te la pierdas!

A MUST see! The Ryōan-ji #garden is considered one of the (if not the) finest surviving examples of #kare-sansui ("dry landscape"), a refined type of #Japanese Zen temple #garden design.

At first we didn't want to go there. There are 15 rocks but no matter the angle, only 14 are seen. Then our friend (a local) wanted to take us there too and we did go. It was so amazing, so relaxing.

Overheard a tour guide mention Steve Jobs loved this zen garden and had been several times. High on my list of favourite spots in Kyoto.

ここに来て縁側に座って石庭を眺めていると心が無になって、何度でも来たくなる心境になります。 石庭の石を数えてみましたが、やはり14個しか見えませんでした。石の数は15個あるとの事。まさ『吾唯知足』の境地ですね。

Go early to enjoy the serenity of this zen temple. The temple opens at 8am. Then walk up to Kinkakuji temple.

【国史跡・特別名勝】「龍安寺方丈庭園」幅 22 メートル、奥行 10 メートルほどの敷地に白砂を敷き詰め、帚目を付け、15個の石を一見無造作に5か所、点在させただけのシンプルな庭である。巨大な中国の山水の世界を日本人独特の感性を研ぎ澄まして写した「枯山水」。最大の特徴は「水を感じさせるために水を抜く」ということで、水を見立てられるようなものを作る。白砂も大海をイメージし、岩は島というより山である。
