  It's not worth waiting for at all. It's not welcoming environment. Some servers were very rude. There's nothing special about food. It's the most unplesant meal I've ever had in Japan.

  Wagyu Shabushabu is definitely something to avoid. We ordered one and we were very disappointed. The soup has no taste, the vegetables plate is super simple and the wagyu itself is not remarkable. ( We had tried some wagyu in kuromon market and that was amazing). Staffs were not helping either. 8800 yen (without taxes) for 1 tasteless ShabuShabu, enough to ruin a good evening.

  A great experience which I wish I had time to repeat on this trip. The staff are attentive and the chef was very helpful. A highlight of Kyoto and left happier than ever. I’d highly recommend the duck.

  Really exceptional food and service. Good English menu and English speaking staff and every dish that we had was utterly delicious. The deep fried chicken, pork and leek pancake and the deep fried tofu in dashi were particular stand outs. Great atmosphere and an altogether lovely dining experience!

  Beautiful, cozy interior and wonderfully friendly and helpful staff! Also a great place to get Kobe beef for a relatively good price. It was delicious, as was the sukiyaki. But it was the great staff that made this a great experience for us. Give it a shot!

  Found this place by looking across the small river and liking the look of the place. Tried our fist sukiyaki and Japanese pancakes, both delicious! Great sake, staff and very cute decor inside. Would go back in an instant with teleportation.

  Great pork and eel tempura, original flavor just add some salt will lead the flavor out, they give more fresh green onion, top special in the restaurant.

  The place charges 500yen for each person for "service fee". That means if you come in and order one cup of sake you will be charged for 500+ sake cost. The location and the decoration are quite nice. However, it doesn't excuse them for having terrible dishes. The tempura smelled. The beef with leek sauce has only a few slice of low quality beef. The sauce is so weak, I thought they actually forgot to put it on mine. The free appetiser is so bad that we didn't eat it. Very expensive for what you get. The only saving grace is the charcoal grilled veggies. I won't be visiting this place again.

  Great place, great atmosphere and great experience admiring the chef working with passion. All precise and cure in details but in an authentic old fashion. If you like leek you should go If you do not like leek you should consider to go anyway because you may change your mind. The place is not expensive for the quality and the atmosphere.
