One hour from Nagoya in bus as well as in kintetsu train (if connecting train time gaon is not more). A nice view from top as well is in ropeway. Restaurant is available at top. A chain mountainsncan be seen in north side. Many scenic views

Challenging for beginner, but it is really fun! I was doing Uramichi Trail with my friend (because it got the most resting point), and really love the autumn scenery!
Anyway, really recommend you to buy the map at gift/omiyage shop near the ropeway station for JPY300 before your hike, as it would get a little confusing on which way to go.response / report this review -

The symbolic mountain of northern Mie, about 1 hour by car or train west of Nagoya. The highest volcano of the Suzuka seven mountains. If you take a flight from/to Chubu international airport , sometimes you can see it from the sky.
Lots of hot springs, which both of very traditional Japanese style or modern westernized hotels, golf courses, tennis courts, museum, variety of restaurants or cafes etc.. And you cannot miss that variety of animals and birds are living here all the year.response / report this review -

Mt. Gozaisho is a beautiful mountain with a number of trails making their way to the top. none of the routes are especially difficult, but they definitely range in difficulty. The peak has a few restaurants and an observatory, and a small ski area when the snow builds up.

A bit cold and windy in the beginning of March but the view is stunning. Easily accessible by the ropeway year round.
