  しだれ桜の名所。ソメイヨシノに比べてピークが一週間ほど遅い。そのため新年度始まってすぐの花見に使いやすい（年によってはそれでも3月末にピークを迎えてしまうこともあるが）。お花見の場所取り激戦区で、シーズンには社会人から学生までが早朝から陣取り合戦をしている。

  Beautiful park and a great spot for Hanami! Go there at the end of the afternoon and just sit on a bamboo mat (don't forget to take your shoes of) and have a beer or sake and something to eat!

  When the sakura are in full bloom, this park becomes Kyoto's most crowded spot for "Hanami". The centerpiece of the park is a tall shidarezakura (weeping cherry tree), which gets lit up at night.
