  京急百貨店がある。当駅以南の住民にとって、わざわざ横浜まで出なくても大概の用事を済ます事ができる、便利な駅。

  乗降客数は品川、横浜に次いで3番目に多い。品川駅からの直通電車「ウィング号」では追加料金200円を支払うことで必ず座席に座れます。
