  A Buddhist temple located at the foothills of Mount Misen. The trail to the summit is located on the left of the entrance to the temple.

  Loved this peaceful place. Climb up the stairs away from the main shrine and suddenly the crowds all disappear. Beautiful autumn colors in mid-November

  【国登録有形文化財】弥山の麓、厳島神社の真裏にあり、真言宗御室派の大本山である。かつては厳島神社の別当職として神社の祭りを掌っていた。島内仏教信仰の中心となり、弥山の弘法大師が求聞持の秘法を修めた遺跡を管轄している。
