Not a picture-heavy museum (but the building is beautiful and in and of itself worth a visit). The learning room is very peaceful. Spend some time and read about Suzuki’s works.

We enjoyed the outdoors even tho it was covered with snow. The place had a certain calmness to it and many nooks/corners that allow you to spend time with yourself.

入場料300円で静寂な禅空間を体験できます。9:30の開館に合わせてお客さんが少ない時間帯がよろしいかもしれません。ライトアップイベントも良さそうですね。

水鏡の庭は、観る場所毎に印象が少しずつ違ってて、不思議な空間です。雪の季節も雰囲気良さそうです。

鈴木大拙館：谷口吉生（2011）。金沢生まれの仏教哲学者、鈴木大拙の足跡に触れられる文化施設。３つの空間へとつなぐ回廊の凛とした緊張感が清々しい。思索空間では周囲の自然に耳を傾け思いに耽ることがことができる。

大拙のことば「仕事をするときは、自分を忘れ、専心で仕事にあたれ。ただ、その瞬間にしている仕事の他は、何も思うな。魔につかれたように、いや、阿弥陀仏につかれたようにの方がよい。そんなふうに、いわば、仕事をして自ずから働かせるのだ。仕事をしていない時は、休め。仕事の思いに付きまとわれてはいけない。仕事に取り付かれてはいけない。自分の仕事の、そして、自分自身の主人であれ。
