Great coffee, friendly staff, and cozy vibe. Highly recommend!

Shop is located in a courtyard, a little hidden, on the first floor. There are wooden signs calling it out.

Small coffee place that was very rustic and cool. They only do drip coffees though. As yummy as they are, they won't have an espresso for ya. Their scone was really yum too so I'd recommend picking up one of their baked goods if you swing by. There's a nice plant shop just above this place that's worth checking out too.

Great off the beaten bath coffee shop. We really enjoyed the parfait and the french toast. Lots of beans to choose from for pourover coffee. Everything is hand made essentially, so don't come if in a hurry. However if you want a breather from sightseeing this is a great place to stop in.

Nice little spot. Jazz and some old American tunes playing overhead. The smell of the roaster in the corner. Great spot to chill for a bit.

This is a great place. The food is absolutely top notch and cheap for the quality. The music and vibes are really enjoyable.

Really cool coffee shop, they roast their own coffee and also offer beans at a reasonable price. Their toast and muffins are also really good. The best thing about Clamp coffee is the atmosphere - surrounded by beautiful buildings with lots of trees and flowers, nestled away from the hustle and bustle, and the music they play is to die for. On a rainy day, sipping coffee here is like heaven. It is a little hard to find. Watch for the sign for Cotoha, a store next door with a more obvious sign.

Single sourced coffee beans brewed by a master barista. If you are their at the end of the day, you can watch them huddled over, painstakingly sifting through their coffee looking for any beans that are less than perfect.

Decor is garage style but despite all the metal, it feels warm and cozy. At sunset, the whole cafe is often washed in pool of golden light. People have a hard time putting their phones down because they want to keep on taking pictures, but nothing can really capture its true ambiance unless you are actually there.

They don't mess around: they only serve meticulously drip coffee (hot or cold( which when you taste- you discover that any other way of drinking coffee has been completely unnecessary.

I always go home w a bag of Ethiopia beans.*

Second best coffee place in Kyoto. Really great coffee and I love the atmosphere. Kind of post apocalyptic mixed with the 1960s

Don't give up trying to find this little gem, it's easy, right next to Nijo Castle , it's worth the effort. Drip coffee only, roasted in-house full of rich South American goodness. My banana muffin was delicious also made on the premises. To top it off some great jazz music Tick! Tick! Tick! Thanks guys. 😂

Quirky little cafe, quite difficult to find, but worth the effort. Home roasted beans, serve only made-to-order filter coffees. No espresso-based drinks.Lots of other non-coffee drinks too. Nice muffins, cookies and sandwiches, all homemade.
Great decor, not many seats though Service is friendly but not super fast. (made to order coffee takes time :-)
