It was nice experience to stay there. stuffs were very kind and friendly.but the building was bit small. but considering that this place is introducing Japanese living style and the cost, its acceptable.

Super kind couple who run the place.

Onomichi is a great place that I would recommend for sure when you are staying in Japan for a longer period and are getting bored with all the big cities. Fuji Hostel is near all the good local restaurants, local supermarket and the temple walk. The hostel is like a home stay where you share the building with the family. They welcome you with a smile and a lot of positive into their home. They gave as a free map of the city too and some great advice about going to the rabbit island, doing the cycle island tour and going to Osaka. It has a great connection with Osaka and Hiroshima by bus and the hostel is walking distance from the bus terminal. Friendly helpful people, nice beds, good shower, relaxing lounge area and a kitchen with a lot of things that you can use. Also they've got free coffee, tea, showers supplies and you can use their towels. This is all great when you are travelling for a longer period. It's also one of the first place that we had in Korea and Japan with a good WiFi connection, that works in the rooms too. I would definitely recommend staying in this place if you are looking for something with a fair price per night.

Very friendly and super helpful host. Clean and comfortable cozy rooms with proper cold aircondition. Laundry and dinner option is a mega bonus. Lots of helpful info about the area. Shower has everything anybody ever needs and strong water pressure. Bonus points for loving Dragon Ball like I do.

The perfect place to stay for cyclists; they provide maps for the Shimanami Kaido Bridges, towels, toiletries and it's close to the ferry. Staff are very kind and the dorms were comfortable too.

I screwed up big time, and made a reservation for an incorrect day. Not only did they help me find some place to stay that wasn't outrageously expensive, they were very courteous and gracious about it. I can't tell you what the actual staying experience would be like, but the dormitory style rooms had little to no privacy. That's fine for me, because I can sleep through anything, but if you need dark and or silence, it did not look like a good dorm to try.

Awesome location for cycling the bridges. Just a little too expensive and room is quite small. Other than that, it's all good.
