Be careful with your reservation. I did one and when I arrived at 2:00AM to the airport they told me that my room wasn't available because it was recently painting, and smell yet. They offer me other hotel for the same price (dirty, ugly, without shower, old and everything that you can imagine is little).
Obviously we accept the smell one, but we woke up with headache the next day.
Nobody apologized for that, no attentions, nothing from the staff or the owner, who met the last day.
The place would be nice, but the service was really poor and bad.response / report this review -

Staff were extremely helpful & friendly, especially Muhammad. We love d cheerful & cosy ambience & d design of d hotel but totally dreaded d staircases we hd to scale everyday. From d entrance to the reception area & fr d reception to our suite wr at least 7 flight of staircases. Some steps wr really high. At our age & in our condition we hd to lug 2 medium sized luggages & 2 cabin sized luggages. Muhammad ws d only one who offered to carry our luggages whn we left 4 Petra. It ws our fault for choosing d suite w a terrace view of d amphitheatre ruins. Shadi showed us two rooms w one adjoining bathroom on d reception level but we wanted to b together w our 14 yr old son. So, d suite ws suitable but d staircases wr a nightmare 4 us. I feel faint & seriously out of breath upon reaching our floor. We realised tt thr wr mostly backpackers who stayed in tis hotel. No wonder d taxi driver who fetched us fr d airport gave us a strange look whn he saw our luggages. Breakfast ws delish for me as i chose to go local. Galaya, I think. My husband & i loved d cold spread they served us. My son loved d eggs but didn't much care for d baked beans whc ws cold, not heated thru'. Sausages could b better. I will definitely tell friends & family of tis hotel but will advise them to travel as lightly as possible. One last thg, thr ws zero WiFi signal in our suite. Thr ws WiFi in d reception area. Shadi ws kind enuff to lend our son his modem. Floors in our room could b cleaner. Our verander hd an amazing view of downtown area. The awning ws a little shabby. The mattress ws firm & most comfortable. Most 4 to 5 star hotel mattresses are not as comfy as Zaman's mattresses. Muhammad told us tt downtown area hotels hv only staircases as d Jordanian authorities wish to preserve d ancient buildings. I can fully appreciate why. We fully enjoyed staying in downtown Amman. Zaman hotel is in a strategic area. We wish we were 30yrs younger.

Staff is super friendly and helpful. They offer tours around in Jordan (Jerash, Dead See, Petra).
Room was okay (though there wasn't any heating so it's been a little cold in late november). Everything clean & shower hot. Unfortunately, my room didn't have a window to the outside (just tomtur inside hallway) and it was a little noise as well - probably due to the building structure and less due to loud guests.
Breakfast is nice as well (you can choose from different warm & freshly cooked options, e. g. vegetarian omlett).

Room was fine, though shower was low pressure and water was cold (this was in the middle of summer so not a deal breaker, but would have been nice). Staff are friendly and helpful, but the only travel advice they'll give is to use one of their tours/taxis, so you have to do your own research on eg getting to bus stations/airport. All considered I'd probably still stay again.

So the location is about as close to the roman amphitheatre as you can get and 15 mins walk to the citadel. The rooms were great, clean, ours was overlooking the Amphitheatre. The bathrooms were clean and nicely done up. The staff are awesome there, really polite, friendly and go out of there way to help you. The breakfast was good, nothing amazing but better than most with 2 cooked eggs options and a cold one, all of which were accompanied with humus, bread and jam etc. The property is nice and secure so no worries there. I would absolutely stay here again for the price!

Hôtel propre, mais les chambres sont pas trop bien aérées, personnel accueillant, prix super bien, rapport qualité prix est plus que 1 chambre individuel avec vue sur l'amphithéâtre roumain est magnifique. Et comme les autres hostels à Amman malheureusement pas d'accès pour les fauteuils roulants.
