Wow! I go there every year for a weekend. This place is a must for all the desert/mountains/climbing lovers. This place offer many different types of activities like hiking, mountaineering, rock climbing and tour by jeep with the local guides. The best place for my opinion is going on jebel rum summit. The ascent is great with changing views on the way up. Then descending is wonderful day of rappelling.
You will not regret going there!

The most stunning scenery you'll find in Jordan 🇯🇴. Very nice and friendly guides who know each other and seem to be neighbors or friends. We were speeding through the sandy red desert getting to different incredible rock formations and canyons, before we watched the sunset. Totally recommend a trip. Prices are per car, not per person, but the guides help you getting together in groups. Thanks a lot for that awesome afternoon.

Really liked the landscape and the experience. We did a camel ride, a Jeep tour and slept in a Bedouin tent. Everyone visiting Jordan should go and see the landscapes. I can recommend the camel ride as well if you have not done it before it’s a great experience. One hour is enough though.
Keep ride is fun but don’t forget that a desert can be a cold place without the sun. So bring warm cloth for later.

Dust and rocks? Yeah, but go and see them yourself to understand!
The best way to do it, is to spend two or more days with the Bedouins: sleep under the stars, ride a camel, and learn about the history of the place from the people who live there.
If you are short on time, a four hours jeep tour is also available which will take you through the most scenic and famous places of this lovely sandy speck of planet.

Wadi Rum is amazing, and a trip to remember! We stayed at Bait Ali in the beginning of Wadi Rum. Nice and clean place with build chalets, good bathroom and toilet, there are also tents for people who will prefere this.
Good restaurant with local food.
We booked a tour through the Wadi in an old Pickup, with a young driver, who knew the whole area like his pockets! It was fun!!!
I can recommend this trip to anyone!

Awesome place, in the true sense.. I was just in awe of the fantastic landscape - and this in the same day I visited Petra. My local guide told me some tidbits of info but what really added the most value was his knowing where to go and to stop for the best views and introductions to friends and family at the tent visit. Not to be missed.

Well worth the trip for anyone coming to Jordan. Definitely stay the night if possible. Bedouins their are very hospitable and are eager to show you a good time. Try to make it on a night without the moon being out so that you can look up at an incredible sky full of starts.

Unforgettable and breathtaking, charming and wild, beautiful and calm! One of the best and most beautiful place on the Earth. Sand of the desert shimmers with different colors during the day: from mustard- yellow to pinky red on sunset. Numerous rocks you can easily climb open you splendid views on dessert. Amazing place to calm down, meditate and listen to yourself. Numerous camps bases here, may help you to feel like real Bedouin, eating their food, riding camel and feel power of this wonder of nature! Thrilling and outstanding!

One of the most beautiful desert in the world. There are different camps inside the desert or in the outskirts of it. You should book in advance and usually the locals will come to get you with their pick ups and drive you to the camps. Some are better equipped with electricity all night while some are a bit more adventurous. In some camps you can have lamb traditionally cooked under the sand. During the day you can arrange a tour of the different rock formations, you can possibly do some climbing as well. If you go check out the amazing sunrises and sunsets, and the beautiful starry nights.

Wadi Rum has been inhabited by many human cultures since prehistoric times, with many cultures–including the Nabateans–leaving their mark in the form of rock paintings, graffiti, and temples.

In the West, Wadi Rum may be best known for its connection with British officer T. E. Lawrence, who passed through several times during the Arab Revolt of 1917–18. In the 1980s one of the rock formations in Wadi Rum was named "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom" after Lawrence's book penned in the aftermath of the war, though the 'Seven Pillars' referred to in the book have no connection with Rum.

What an amazing place in the vast red sand desert. A National Park in Jordan and occupied by Bedouin camps it’s an experience you must have if traveling Jordan. It’s quiet, magical and the stars are stunning with no lighting obscuring them. One overnight stay and 4x4 vehicle tour is enough to appreciate this wonder. Bout a tour or really check prices since the camps really vary in quality. Enjoy!

Wadi Rum at times is beyond description. I visited three times while living in Jordan and each time was as breathtaking as the first. The colours, the wind-scuplted mountains, the serenity, and the history make this destination an absolute must. Good to research the different tour companies to make sure you get the best offerings. Ideally, have your own 4x4 for more freedom. Two days and one night is a minimum to get a simple taste. An extra day teases the palate even more.

It was a unique experience! Going round the desert , climbing the sand dunes, drinking Tea at the Tuck shops. The climax and most memorable one is staying in the tent for the night. There were no other guests. We got the whole place for ourselves, with only sky and the innumerable stars over our heads.

I love this place! Spent there only two days and it's much too less. During the jeep tour you can see beautiful landscapes and after that, on foot, climb great red rocks or try your hand at sandboarding. Also climbing to find a spring in the dessert is a moving experience. A lot of camels are there to ride them and everyone should try that. I recommend to see sunset and sunrise from the top of a rock as well.

It’s the best to sleep in the desert for days, I went to a camp called rum shines, it’s so nice to see the sunset and have a good food, good people, now it’s required to pay the ticket to enter the safe zone.

Unique experience in the desert. Walk through the rock formations and across the red sand where the only sounds are from your fellow campers, the occasional airliner or the birds. An isolated wilderness. Eat terrorism Bedouin food and sleep under the milky way. You won't forget your time in Wadi Rum.

A must-visit when staying in Jordan. Wonderful scenery and beautiful sunsets. I'd recommend booking a tour through the dessert and staying at least a night - the skies are beautiful with no artificial light around!

Beautiful place in the middle of Jordan's south desert, perfect place to watch the most stunning sunset on earth, good place to interact with Bedouins and learn some stuff about them also at night I recommend everyone to go to the darkest place and look upside to the stars! The best thing to see on earth is that beautiful natural paint!

Amazingly awesome a place of rest and a memorable experience. Bedouin tent or camp out in the fresh outdoors among the big reddish boulder rocks. A breathtaking experience to remember a lifetime.

Very nice desert with red sand and big rocks. You can explore Wadi Rum by jeep and have dinner in the Bedouin camp. You also can sleep there. Just don't go far away from the camp in the night because there are wolves. I saw them with my own eyes.

Stayed at the Bait Ali Camp Wadi Rum last July after a tour to Petra. It was right smack in the middle of the desert and scorching hot so the pool was a nice touch. There is a little uphill path behind the Camp which leads to spots where you can look over the desert. We went near sunset. The view was simply out of this world. Food was so-so. Lodgings were in a sturdy tent accommodating a maximum of 4 people, very basic, but clean and surprisingly cool at night. We took the Jeep tour - that was amazing! I highly recommend this place for the desert experience.

An incredible landscape. You can see why it gets used in films do much. Sun rise and sunset are particularly good and star gazing at night is fantastic too. Whilst walking in the desert I found some flint tools, one a Neolithic flint blade that was probably c.10,000 years old and another piece of worked flint that looked closer to upper palaeolithic and could have been as much as 50,000 years old. Another member of my group who is an expert of aboriginal culture and pre-history in Australia also found tools and confirmed my finds. I've never been anywhere quite like it.
