  Umm Qais, location 110 km North of Amman (Capital of Jordan) on a broad promontory 378 meters above sea level with a magnificent view over the Yarmouk River, the Golan Heights, and Lake TIBERIAS.
  This ancient town was known as GADARA, one of the most brilliant Ancient Greco-Roman cities of the Decapolis..Higly recommended.

  This little museum is devoted to artifacts recovered within Umm Qays. It is being refurbished at the time of writing with an expected reopening sometime early 2018.
