We had a great time at Rum Stars! The food is tasty and plentiful, the tents are spacious (for a camp tent) and have lots of blankets for cold nights. Whole camp is solar powered with sockets in the communal tent. Power conservation might cut power in some areas, such as the tents in the morning. Shared restrooms are quite new, tiled with stone floors. They contain separate showers and toilets for both sexes. Toilets are western style and fully equipped. Warm water is limited. Only drink bottled water. The Bedouin staff is genuine and friendly, but many don't speak English. Ahmed, the owner, speaks it best, but he's often busy with camp management. Farij, our 4x4 driver was funny and enthusiastic about his work and Land Cruiser. He also likes to sing a lot. All in all this was the highlight of our stay in Jordan.

Really enjoyed it. The camel ride can be quite tiring.
People were great and food was delicious.

All the guides are super cool and happy to share everything with you.

The tents are very solid and the toilets are superb for being in the desert.

This camp was a perfect retreat. We opted for their one day camel excursion and were not disappointed. Our guide was eager, friendly, and clearly keen to show us around.

The tour's length was more than appropriate and featured several key sights. For most of the excursion, our route took us to places where no other groups went - an absolute treat.

The camp was well equipped with a social area, kitchen, and comfortable tents. The bathrooms were excellent with full plumbing. The evening featured an excellent spread of traditional Bedouin dishes.

The owner was extremely accommodating, ensuring that we got the most out of our experience. Due to poor planning on our part, the minibus which we hoped to get to Aqaba was not running the morning of our departure. After searching for a taxi for us at a reasonable rate and being unable to find one, the owner personally drove us to Aqaba (a one hour trip) instead of leaving us to our own devices.
