It’s a nice, well developed resort, just a night mare to get in. Only one gate is working and you can stuck behind other cars for long, waiting your turn to enter.

We have been coming to Tala Bay for about 10 years now but this year the experience was less than great. The apartment wasn't clean when we got there with used tissues lying around (not great during Covid times!), the toilet in one of the bathrooms was not secured to the floor properly and it was leaking, and the sewers got blocked and flooded the bathroom! It got fixed while we were there but it meant we had to be around and wait for the service staff to come and fix it instead of having fun outside. What a shame because it has a lovely beach with lots of fun activities!

As shown in the response below, the administration does not want to bear any responsibility for this issue, they can obligate the owners to either inform the guests about any additional charges or to charge the OWNERS for any additional fees and not the tourists

We have rented an apartment in Tala bay through on of the famous and verifies renting applications, surprisingly, when we have arrived at the gate, they requested us to pay additional 20 JD entrance fees per person, which was 100 JD in our case, even though that we have already paid the rent fully with all the additional serive and cleaning fees.

Tala bay administration exploit the tourists by imposing additional implicit fees that neither the apartment owner nor the administration has mentioned it before our arrival

We rented an apartment at Tala Bay. I have to say that I was pleasently surprised. The apartment was big a airy and it was fine spending some time there or having friends over. TALA bay itself is nice and rather self sufficient. At the beach club we had all the water sports facilities and Scuba diving and nearby was Sinai Divers which in my opinion as a diving instructor is the most professional in Aqaba. All in all lovely experience.

I booked from booking. Com and got the confermation email from Tala bay and after I get there they said there is no reservation found and the employee was arrogant, also the security staff there are so uncoapretive, bad experience

From the moment we came in until the time we left the staff here were simply wonderful and friendly , great swimming pools, clean sand and I recommendations from them about the areas restaurants and entertainment .

When we first arrived, it looked beautiful but we were disappointed.

Towels are offered after putting 10 JOD deposit; the towels are thin as much as they are used and so rough.

The beach are was good and clean but we opted for the pool option. There are two pool areas but are average, the bathrooms are very dirty and so are the chairs.

We tried their lunch menu, we had:

Steak salad: it comes served in a baked tortilla: beautiful presentation and the meat was excellent
Shrimp salad: perfectly cooked and seasoned over a bed of rocca and baby spinach
Overall the food was ok but the portions are very tiny compared to the prices. And this applies to the pool itself; we were not tempted to come back.

nice place to spend with family/partner. most of people there are foreigners so you wont have locals looking at girls and making comments.
the beach is clean (compared to other parts of Jordan).
it lacks more restaurants and some music.

We were staying in the adjoining Movenpick hotel but you can walk down the beach to the marina which is part of the Tala bay resort which appears to be a wide mixture of upscale apartments and holiday lets. The apartments seem expensive at a glance online. There are a couple of very nice restaurants on the Marina though. We ate in De Soto on two occasions and the service was friendly and fast.
There is also a well stocked supermarket on the marina with prices for everything from snorkeling gear to wine at prices much cheaper than in the hotels themselves.
