Beautiful experience, visiting the place from which Moses saw the promised land, and where he was buried. It is great location with sunning views (even though mist obscured the far distance), well preserved, respectfully presented archaeology and an informative little museum.

It's a wonderful historical location.
Many times I have visited the mountain and the tumble and every time I feel like it's the first time.
The view from the nepo mountain is marvelous you can see the other side of the holy land and you can feel the greatness of the place.
The management of the location is doing a great job there .
Any one visit Jordan must visit the mountain of nepo and the tumble.

A lovely combination of ancient and modern architecture. There are mosaic paintings all throughout the church as well as modern stained glass panels. Great place of worship.

Mount Nebo and it's monastery been renovated recently by the Franciscan through Italian architects. Beautifully built, showing the combination of byzantine and modern structure.

Expansive views of the Jordan River Valley and the Dead Sea. The church is in surprisingly good condition. There are some beautiful mosaics inside.

Fantastic views of the Dead Sea, Palestine/Israel and surrounding Jordan. Standing on one spot, on a clear day, you can even see all the way from the top of the tallest building in Amman to the Dead Sea/border crossing.

Went there month of July 2017, with family and friends, and I was followed by armed security inside the premises, come to found out he was following the teenagers in the group.
I think the guy is a sexual predator.
He was wearing a blue uniform with a machine gun ( armed security forces).
So please watch out for your teenagers and try to keep close eye on them, and if your a women try to go with a male companion.
Can't believe the security and police who are trying to protect you are child molesters.

I gave three stars because thus place is stunning . From mosaics to a great view like no other in the world, and a beautiful history.
From my trip to jordan everything and the people are great, even the police.
Except when you deal with jordanian customs and military personal.

This is a special place overseeing the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, 360-view. On the top of the mountain you may find a monastery and some pretty-well preserved ancient mosaic art the tradition of which is kept alive at the near-by city of Madaba. The Mount Nebo is one of many Christian holy places in this area, worth to visit if for nothing else than the view. Choose spring (March - April) for your visit to see desert flowers in blossom after winter rains.

A very memorable place to visit in the Holy Land. The architecture & artifacts are well preserved for us to feel the ancient times. The Brass serpent and maps are so well preserved.

This site appears to be well managed and preserved. I was impressed by the museum-like quality inside the church. You're unlikely to need more than 30-45 mins. The views are fantastic.
