We loved our stay at Feynan Ecolodge, and it was one of (many highlights) of our trip in Jordan. The expensive price is well worth it - the ecolodge is in an isolated and beautiful area, the activities arranged by Feynan are wonderful, and the staff is really amazing - especially Suleiman!

Absolute highlight of our Jordan trip. If you’re visiting Jordan, make sure you stay here!!! The staff are amazing, everyone is very knowledgable and friendly and it’s so nice to be staying somewhere that benefits the community rather than a big corporate chain. Ali and Muhammad in particular were very good to us. Cancel the Dead Sea resort you were going to stay in on the way to Petra and stay here instead! Enjoy the wadis and the being with the local Bedouin community.

Overpriced, low quality product. You pay for lack of electricity and a very basic facility. Nice dinner. Poor breakfast.

Original and interesting eco-concept. The place is isolated and quiet. The quietness would however be much better enjoyed if the kitchen and common rooms metal doors were equipped with some kind of dampening system (even locally made out of trash, such as old tyres that are found in the surroundings). Slamming activities stop at midnight and resume at 05:30. Staff is very nice but definitely not customer oriented. There seem to be no guidance from management in terms of what a non-beduin guest paying a non-bedouin overnight fare is entitled to. Regarding food, the vegetarian choice is a good option but in a country where spice markets are beautiful and colorful, something else than cafeteria-style salt and pepper would undoubtedly enhance the culinary experience . Same goes for coffee. Rich and cardamom perfumed Jordanian coffee served here is difficult to distinguished from tea as far as the color is concerned . The surrounding Dana reserve wadis (riverbeds) are littered with bedouin trash. Considering the price this place goes for , I have a hard time finding excuses for all these points. The lodge received many awards in the past. Has management changed? A bit of a sad story as it seems it started on the right track. I would not go there again.

now this place was such a surprise i heard nothing about dana before i visited but its the biggest national park in jordan with the most bio diverse wildlife in the country. i arrived here as i organise to stay at feynan as it was voted one of the top eco lodges in the world by national geographic. the lodge is 100% run by the local bedouin community giving you the opportunity to experience the local culture through walks, workshops and the opportunity to meet locals. i can honesty say that i love this place and its one the the best hotels that i have ever stayed in, such a peaceful experience. the biosphere is famous for its walks throughout the reserve so i would recommend taking at least 3 days here to truly enjoy this fascinating place. you may even catch sight of the wolves that roam the reserve.

The concept of this ecolodge is wonderful. They don't have much electricity - it's illuminated at night by candles. They made a delicious vegetarian dinner and breakfast. We went on two guided hikes that we easy in difficultly. We were able to watch the stars on the rooftop after dinner. Unfortunately, it was very hot in our room during the month of May. And the open windows for a bit of airflow meant flies bothered us all night long.

Beautiful place to relax and clear you mind, only get wifi in the reception and that is the only place with power, stunning walks up the mountains and the people are fantastic

A perfect place to clear the mind. Imagine staying in a lodge with no electricity, no internet, no TV, questionable mobile signal, a simple room lit with candles You may find it in the South of Jordan, almost an hour off the Dead Sea Highway to Aqaba. You need a jeep-like car from the last Bedouin village where the road ends and continue for almost half an hour to reach the eco-friendly lodge built in the local style, with a small patio to drink tea or coffee. Come in April when the weather is not so hot and the desert hills are still adorned with modest flowers and oleanders. The lodge offers quietness and peace, nice walks or mountain-bike trips in the hills belonging to the South part of the Dana Reserve. By staying for few days you not only relax your mind but also help the local community.
