This was a great time. Arrival was at the decided time not “Island Time” The drive showcased the mountains. At the head of the trail is where we began. The hike to Blue Ridge summit was physically difficult, but well rewarded with views of the island. Unfortunately from the summit a could had descended on us so we could not see the whole island but a short ways down we were rewarded with a great view. Make sure to wear some type of sturdy tennis shoe or better, bring a couple snacks and water. Average time up is 3 hrs. I was able to finish it in 2:20min. Speed won’t get you to the rewards, determination will.

Weeks post vacation, the glow gained from being on a tropical island with lovely beaches has worn off. Yet our most significant and most recanted memory of our family trip was the epic midnight hike to reach the “top” of Jamaica at sunrise that we completed with the guiding of the great blue mountains crew. 14 miles of hiking and 4,400 feet of climbing in the middle of the night was a worthy challenge and the summit an incredible way to watch the new day break.

We had an amazing one day trip to the Blue Mountain Peak with Tropical Trips Jamaica! Transportation, a local guide to the peak, dinner etc. were all taken care of. Everyone was really nice, we had a fun and informative hike along coffee plantations and beautiful rainforest!

Had such a great experience with Tropical Trips Jamaica! We took one of their private Jamaica tours and it was inclusive, affordable, and full of new adventures we've never done before. Their staff was also extremely friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Will be planning a trip with them again at the end of next year!
