My friends and I had an amazing time. We were just having a girl's day, to celebrate a recent victory. The staff was nice, courteous, polite and helpful. The food was great. Their fish and chips was so yummy. We decide to have dinner at their Japanese restaurant Momo and it was lovely. Big props to our chef for the night Alex. Looking forward to going back.

This resort is amazing my family and I absolutely loved this place. The scenery is breathtaking, food was delicious, the people were so welcoming, I love their culture on no worries, the hotel is so beautiful, the shows were awesome, the activities were really fun. We are for sure coming back. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The service/people was wonderful! The hotel was very accommodating. The location is breath taking and private. It's a gated resort. The rooms are spacious, clean and stocked with drinks! The hotel has delicious restaurants! The Chinese restaurant is a must visit and the buffet for breakfast is impeccable.

    The Short Version
Beautiful place with awful scent branding, and a very lovely staff.

    The Place
Moon Palace has beautiful decoration and furnishings, and a thoughtful layout. The resort includes places and activities for small kids and teenagers, both situated away from where the noise might bother other guests. The restaurants offer a wide variety of choices, and among them cover the whole day so you can eat any time you want. There are several pools, a well outfitted gym, and beach access. The resort is also very close to some great excursions like Dunn's River Falls and Mystic Mountain.

    The Scent
The Palace Resorts branded scent contains a strong aroma of sandalwood, a very hard to ignore scent that is also meant as an aphrodisiac. We had a pretty major issue with this, but obviously it's not a problem for everyone so take it as you will.

    The Staff
Moon Palace staff clearly see the customers as the reason they're there, and that comes through with every interaction. Every staff member is unfailingly polite and helpful. For example, the food in the main (buffet) restaurant tends to be quite spicy, but when we asked for some without spice the chef made it special and brought it out to us himself.

Fantastic experience! My kids are 4 & 9 and they loved every minute. Romario from the entertainment staff was so good with my kids, they looked forward to seeing him at the pool. Santana was amazing with service and so was Horace at the bar. We will be back for sure!

The service here was quite disappointing. Waited hours just to get a fold out bed even though I was told this would have been a part of the package. The room was hot, bed had no mat I had to step off on the cold floor. Requested certain items from housekeeping that too took hours! The variety of food was also limited, pastries were the worst! I am left to wonder if this is how locals are treated if our money isn't as good. I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone. Response time is painstakingly poor.

My daughter is getting married at Moon Palace Jamaica in March. We purposely chose a 4-5 star resort, to have the best experience! Trying to get answers, information, e-mails has been extremely difficult. The wedding coordinator, there (who you have to go through), never seems to get back with any pricing, explanations, and it usually takes 3 or more e-mails for her to respond! The wedding is in the beginning of March, and just TODAY, did we get pictures, and pricing on flowers. On top of that they want payment in full TODAY????? I really hope that once we get there our experience is much more enjoyable! I will definitely be writing a review, on the actual resort experience

Overall the resort was great. Probably the best food I’ve ever had at an all inclusive, check in staff, bell staff, wait staff were all AMAZING! I also really enjoyed the location and how close it is to town. We ventured out everyday and hung with the locals.
The few negatives that lead me to a 3 star review are: 1) the guy that told us about all of the activities after check in was nice, but not helpful at all and actually quite dismissive. We asked for recommendations off the resort several times and he just kept pressing about how much we’d spent on the room and how we have everything we need there. I travel a lot and have never experienced staff trying to discourage me from leaving a resort and that wouldn’t offer recommendations. 2) the resort credit foolishness. I was aware that only $150 of of my $750 credit could be used for the spa when I booked and I was totally fine with that. What I did NOT appreciate was that when I called to book the $150 credit really turns into 70 because there is a $80 service charge to use the credit. Just call it what it is and stop the tricks and games. 3) trying to book last minute excursionthere is a package deal for 4 excursions, two of which were full because a ship was in. They lady then offers us two of the excursions for the same price as fourjust didn’t seem fair. Again, the wait staff, food, pools, beach, spa was great, just stop with the credit and excursion games. I’ve never left a review before, but that really rubbed me the wrong way

We have spent the past week here on a fantastic, extended family vacation. The people who work here have been extremely attentive and are exceptionally friendly. I found the bed most comfortable and the room very clean, as you would expect from a Palace Resort. The beach is beautiful, the activities many, and there are a vast number of great excursions offered for you to choose from if youd rather not try to find and book on your own. Note, if you go to Dunn's River falls, ask to book on a day when cruise ships do not come to Ocho Rios, it was too crowded to enjoy on the day we went, a Wednesday, as there were two cruise ships in port. The food ,while very good, is imho the only thing holding back five stars.4.5 stars

The moon place was a great choice for our Thanksgiving family vacation. Rooms, restaurants activities all worthy of the 5 star rating, BUT be ware of using any resort credits. What the vacation planers tell you and what it cost you are a different story. We had plenty of credits to use but could not book any time in the spa that we wanted. And the only excursion that we went on was only to play taxes ended up costing us $400.. Even though at time of booking we were told we had plenty of credits that would apply. I was very upset and the did nothing about it.! I felt we were lied to!

What an amazing place to stay while exploring Jamaica. The staff is just outstanding. We worked with Peter in human relations and let me tell you this guy will be there for you for whatever you might need. I know we won’t for get him. Courtney the director for JTL transportation knocks it out of the park. Very much on top of his game. The resort is extremely clean and very top of the line. Thanks for the entertainment!! See you next time

Hands down the best place ever. I am a big germ person and this place was clean and spotless. The service was treatment for a Queen. My room was great. Beach life was great as well. Just beware of the beach walkers trying to make a buck, they can be a bit aggressive. The security on the beach makes you feel comfortable and the food and unlimited everything. I am going back again, and again and again, plus it was family friendly.

It is a nice enough resort but it needs some fine tuning. Some employees don't seem to buy into the customer service model. While others are superb. The palace resorts in Mexico are far better and have cheaper airfares available.

I thought the staff was great. They were very helpful and friendly. The property was expansive with lots of pools and bars and restaurants. The beach was not as big as I am used to but the water was clean and calm. The food at the buffet was great although I wish they had a better salad choices. All in all a great place for a get away.

    Elegant all inclusive resort.
Great location. Spa and Pools are nice.
BUT THERE IS ALWAYS A CATCH !!!
They distract the guest with room credits that can be used for excursions and the spa. Only because they know the beach on the property is horrible. (which is a big downfall for me) It is a
very shallow beach, beach water was disgusting way too much seaweed, too many commercial boats and ships exhaust idling in the water ( that can't be healthy) and not to mention from the view from my room I just so happen to notice the nasty, green city drain emptying right into the same ocean water they call beach. I go to the Caribbean for the beach and this is the first time I did not enjoy my time at all.
    TOTALLY HORRIFIED.

    Warning: WATER

This place is a fantastic all inclusive resort, but like any place it has some issues. Most issues tend to be with the food, which over all was pretty good, but the service could be faster and we could not get a reservation at MoMo even though we tried twice. The only other downside to this resort was the water. The water in the shower and tap smelled slightly of fecal matter and it was very worrisome. It ended up getting my daughter sick. At the start of our trip we had met a family at the resort who warned us to be careful with the water as someone in their party had gotten travelers diarrhea, despite attempting to be careful my daughter had gotten the same thing as well. We loved the resort and would definitely consider coming back if we know the water issue is fixed. If you are staying at this resort, use bottled water to brush your teeth/ wash your face and be careful in the shower. Other than that, it's a fantastic resort and would highly recommend.

Food was very good. Service at restaurants and bars was excellent. Room service was extremely slow. 1.5 hour wait at least. Room was not ready when we got there, even though we got there 1 hour after check in time. Nothing done to make that up. Maid service was poor. Room never got cleaned on one day, even though we were out of room for 5 hours from 11-4. Room only got turned down 3 out of 7 nights. If you didn't leave your room before 7 to go eat they said it was too late for them to do that service. Mini bar restock was supposed to be every 24 hours. On the second day our bottle of rum was gone. It never got replaced. Had to call for water multiple times. Maids did not even restock water. The resort points they give you are hard to spend and they still cost you money to use them. They said we could use them in spa. Then said there was a limit. Then when we tried to book stuff for are two 17 year old daughters they said only for adults. Overall it was a fun time with staff and activities around the pool and ocean. Would recommend for families.

The standard rooms were modern and had nice decor. The property was nicely maintained and is situated on a decent beach. The beach front is not seaweed free but the waters are nice and calm. The property could use another restaurant or two for better variety at an all-inclusive. (Tip) be friendly with the staff treat them how you would want to be treated and you will find the Jamaican workers are very friendly and you'll make some new friends.

This resort is great. It has at least 6 restaurants to choose from. It is an all inclusive resort so all food and drinks are included. They keep the small refrigerators that are in each room fully stocked everyday. The staff is amazing. Very polite and helpful. The resort and it's grounds are keep neat and clean. I highly recommend this resort.

I had a wonderful time, the service was amazing, the staff were friendly yet stayed professional. I wanted to send out a thank you to a few staff that displayed such kindness and welcoming spirit. Peter McCarthy what a wonderful young man, Daniele at the front desk great laughter and smile, friendly informative. Xanadu our event planner was also very friendly and honest made us feel right at home. Azeeza and Hope at the spa was two lovely people I know. And not forgetting Jerome he was like family anything we needed he was there to help. So many names I don't remember, 18 of us stayed there and all of us were very pleased with our visit.

Great service starts at check-in. The room was exceptionally clean. My wife and I usually sanitize all hotel rooms ourselves upon arrival. This is the first time our disinfectant wipes came up spotlessly clean. Had to compliment our cleaning attendant Carole and her Supervisor Stephanie for the fantastic service. Food was abundant and tasty. Staff service was five star. Only issue we had with this resort was our disappointment at the seafood restaurant. Did not expect to see a price list for seafood at an all inclusive resort by the sea. Management needs to change this as its really the only negative experience we had there. With such attention to details in service and amenities they missed the mark by asking diners to pay for lobster and shrimp as after all this is an all inclusive hotel. That being said there was more than enough seafood at the main lunch and dinner buffet restaurant. Our kids had a great time. We will back again. Keep it up Moon Palace Jamaica Grande.

To be fair I would have to give this resort 3.5 stars. It was clean, pretty grounds, comfortable beds, and good food. The cons were small rooms and bathrooms. Other all inclusives I've stayed at had beautiful suite like rooms for the price we paid. It was more of a nice hotel room. The lack of activities drove us nuts. One day they would have the pool activities that were on the schedule the next day no staff would be around to do them. I found the resort to lack 'personality'. The night life was dull. I'm no party animal and understand this is a very kid friendly resort but there just wasn't much going on in general. Location is great. Close to many great excursions. But a good 90 mins from airport. The resort credits are very deceiving. They are limited to certain not so popular excursions and limited at the spa. The spa was lovely. We enjoyed our treatments very much. But very overpriced. Even with our so called 'credits'. We did enjoy our vacation but nothing 'wowed' us. With so many great resorts, I probably wouldn't go back.

We had the best staff experience! Starting off with our two waiters during the day we had Xaivor and Elvis! Both of them were so awesome and really hard workers! They were great to talk to and great people to have around! Next at the water toys we had Kevin and he was just a really nice genuine guy! Then our lobby guys Jerome and Andrew! Awesome people once again great people to have a conversation about anything really! Can't wait to come back and see them again! They were like family and I loved that!!! Thanks guys! :))

Wonderful and attentive service staff. The Momo (Asian and hibachi) and Gondola (Italian) restaurants are top notch. The all inclusive offering is the best that we have experienced. The pools are beautiful and the private beach is well maintained. And there is no high pressure sales attempt for time share either.
