Simply beautiful! Lovely experience. Donovan looked after us and told us the history of this amazing place and all its natural resources. Once in a lifetime. Making memories.
Amazing experience. Scenery was beautiful. The rafts were really comfortable. The people who steered the rafts had great knowledge of the area and were very interesting friendly and helpful
Peaceful glide down the Martha Brae river. Our rafting captain was knowledgeable about the sites and vegetation. Fun trip.
Awesome experience. Loved it. It is a different kind of experience rafting in a bamboo raft on a river. Water color is absolutely fantastic. Their card machine wasn't working when we went there. So make sure to have some cash for backup.
This was a really nice and relaxing excursion a short trip from our resort, The Royalton White Sands. Upon arrival, you will receive a complimentary glass of fruit punch. You can choose to add rum for $3 US. If you want, they will package additional beverages in ice for your trip down the river. You will also have a chance to browse the small gift shop (save your money) and herb garden before you begin your rafting trip. The trip itself lasts an hour to an hour and a half. A few local vendors can be found along the riverbanks selling beer and trinkets. Your guide will stop if you are interested. You will not get wet unless you decide to take a swim. The water is calm and it is a nice ride. Our guide even let us take turns steering the raft for a bit. All of the guides are artists and will offer to sell you a carved calabash if you like. At the end of the trip, you arrive at a small restaurant where you can purchase a photo they take for you.
This is the only "touristy" thing we did in Jamaica and it was wonderful, relaxing and unhurried so it didn't feel teeming with tourists, which it wasn't the day we went.
Relaxing, calm and a peaceful experience. The journey is about 90 minutes and the raft captain is quite knowledgeable about the history behind the area. So it's also pretty informative.
Nice experience and I would do it again
The grounds and restrooms are very well kept. The rides are more similar to a gondola ride than white river rafting, which I thought was great for our family (5 Adults & 5 children). The dinks at the bar were tasty and the restrooms were clean. There were some shopping opportunities on the raft and along the route. The stream is absolutely beautiful. We spotted blue and striped belly herons & the guides named the area flora for us. Plan on being there for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. The resturant as you disembarked served really delicious jerk chicken, but they don't automatically serve it with the traditional jerk sauceyou may have to ask for it ($6-$9 US). Each raft accommodate 2 adults and 1 child. I would recommend this excursions for all levels of activity my brother is 5'10, 285lbs & they accommodated him and his family.
We booked this excursion through Royal Caribbean, and it was the highlight of our trip! Being 21 weeks pregnant, I am extremely limited in what I comfortable/allowed to do. This river raft was so much fun, relaxing, and BEAUTIFUL. Our raft caption, Nveor, was phenomenal. He was extremely sweet, knowledgeable, funny, and easy going. Without him, the 45min ride down the river would not have been as fun. If you book, ask for him! You won’t regret it! :) My husband and I can’t wait to come back again, but this time as a party of 3; and we will be requesting Nveor.
It's a nice cool quite trip if you love being in that romantic mood while gliding along through the trees then this is the ride for you. Afterwards just head back up with the van and chillax at the pool and have a drink. It would help if they had more things that persons can do either at the end or before you start that would enhance the experience all in a money well spent.
Too long drive to and from Ocho Rios. Waited 1/2 hour for a life jacket. Told ride would be 1 1/2 hours..really only 45 minutes. ..then long drive back. Raft part wad nice..but excursion description should be more accurate.
Wow !!!!this is so cool, seeing this bamboo raft going down the river, u wouldn't believe that this would be so relaxing. Your raft captain at the control, u sipping a ice cold red stripe beer, this is o, I can't explain this. Doing the actual thing makes u want to go for a next ride , awesome , I think u should do it .
We had a great time! Blake was awesome! I encourage everyone to have thi experience. You won't regret it. Also, the restaurant at the end had great jerk chicken. Respect!
Super amazing time. Very relaxing experience - even in the light rain. Very nice way to spend some time. Learned a lot about the plant life surrounding the river from our guide.

A fantastic, chilled out journey along a peaceful and picturesque river, punted along by very friendly, knowledgeable, entertaining guides. The rafts are cosy but well made. Recommend buying a couple of beers at the top to drink as you float down stream - your Captain will have a bottle opener!
This was an excursion organized by our cruise line Royal Caribbean. Very relaxing ride down the river with an excellent and knowledgeable guide Mr. Claude Johnson.
Would recommend this excursion if Falmouth, Jamaica is your port of call.
Loved it. Hopeton was an excellent rafting captain .
This is a beautiful float down a picturesque river. You float on a bamboo raft down a lazy river through a tunnel of greenery. Very romantic as the raft only holds you and a companion. A few small children could accompany you but the rafts work best for 2 passengers. Take a few beers and enjoy your river captains knowledge of the river.
Arrived on a day where it had rained hard the night before, water muddy and fast near the start but the amazing J.K the raft captain (the best guy there hands down, all the other people we jealous and told us so on the bus afterwards) he was skillful, funny and entertaining. We drifted along and we stopped at a vendor by the side of the river and I bought J.K some beer. He sang to us, entertained us and made feel like family. To the person who said the raft captains should not be allowed to try to sell you stuff is an arrogant a$$. Give them your money you rich oaf. If you can afford to go to Jamaica on vacation you are rich compared to them, you can buy them a drink, buy their merchandise. They are trying to earn a living, it is a hard life for them compared to your 1st world comfort. They were not pushy they want a life just like we do.
Very good excursion to visit. The rafts are well made and the rafters and very skilled.
This 3 mile rafting trip down river is incredibly relaxing and chilled out, a definite winner after a busy day. The guides are interesting and have some good facts about the area and plants, plus they won't push conversation on you. If they can see that you just want to relax and enjoy the trip in peace, they are happy to let you.
The river is calm even after heavy rain with lots of plants and jungle all around. The raft guides have the standard sell near the end where they show you some craft goods you can buy, but you don't have to buy anything and they won't force anything on you, they're very friendly and relaxed. A tip is generally acceptable at the end, US$5 is fine depending on how you enjoyed the rafting trip
Relaxing bamboo raft ride down the Martha Brae. 2 seater rafts and scenic tour with points of interest along the river.
The wife and I had a very enjoyable relaxing trip down the river. The raft captain was very informative and pleasant and the people we met along the river were very nice also. I would recommend this trip to everyone.
Lovely way to cruise down a river. The punter (who punts the raft) tries to sell you stuff. Shouldn't be allowed.
Really nice water attraction. For those who can't swim or those who don't want to get wet this is perfect. Yes, if you want to get wet you can too. Very beautiful scenery and relaxing ride. Sam #41 is the BEST raft captain there. Great experience!
Quiet ride down the Martha Brea on a bamboo raft. The raft carries 2 people and the "raft captain" who gives a bit of local history during the trip and points out some interesting local flora and fauna.
