So far I've visited Portland Gap and the Blue Mountain Peak of this wonderful national treasure and loved every second of it. I'd highly recommend the Peak trail to anyone looking for a local adventure. Guided or without a guide is up to you since the trails are well-kept and adequately signed. The peak is stunning at sunrise so the hike is best done at night. Can't wait to experience more of this park!

I recently toured the Blue Mountains and rediscovered our coffee plantations and the picturesque mountains. I felt as though I entered a vortex that transported me to another dimension in Jamaica. The lush vegetation and the misty views will easily make you want to sell your home and acquire a residence nestled between the trees and cascading waterfalls. In my photos I am at the crossroads where Kingston and Portland meet in a area called "Section". While in Section I came across the James Dennis Coffee Guest House, an 8-bedroom hostel and coffee farm operated by a Rastafarian family. Hopeton was the name of the gentleman whom gave me a tour of his coffee farm while treating me to a hot cup of Blue Mountain Coffee (on the house!). The aroma and taste of the coffee was better than anything at your local Starbucks and the fact that I watched it being prepared truly gave me a deeper appreciation for the caffeinated beverage. I recommend anyone visiting Jamaica to visit the Blue and John Crow Mountains.

My sweet beautiful home. The sweet air. The delicious water. The magnificently majestic views. No place like this in the world. The many micro climates. Absolutely mystical.
