We organised a private tour of the museum and ghetto. We were asked to arrive 15 minutes early to go through security. The guards were very polite when checking our bags. The tour was very interesting, though it was difficult to hear in the museum.

Very high security, I was asked about 10 questions before they allowed me to enter morning prayer service - don't bring your cellphone inside - the man at the gate will think you are "unreligious" and question your intentions

Lovely historic Synagogue in Jewish ghetto. Didn't go inside but you can buy tickets to the museum.

The synagogue is amazing and in it you can enter the Jewish museum, a very good and well explained museum.

Their "museum" only has a few crowns and a few old clothes. I've seen restaurants decorated with more artifacts than that. An absolute ripoff.

The gift shop was nice, but I was not allowed to enter the sanctuary to say prayers for "security" reasons. To add insult to injury, one of the women behind the counter - the one who flat-out refused me entry into the sanctuary - kept calling me signorina, even after I corrected her. I'm sure it's a very beautiful building, but the staff are not doing it any favors.

Great tours and information! The museum and audio tour were very complimentary to the walking tour of the ghetto and much needed to take it all in, understand and know the depth of history embedded with the Jews in Rome!

Magnificent synagogue.

While I can't say anything about the museum (which is relatively small and can be done alone with an audio guide once you pay for entry), I can say that the tour, which comes free with buying a entry ticket and occurs several times a day, was short but interesting and to the point. It is also the only way to see the grand synagogue unless one comes during prayer times, and that is something well worth seeing.
