Realizzato in età augustea, si presenta con una sola campata dalla considerevole ampiezza (m. 22). Negli anni '30, in seguito a dei lavori di ripristino, il materiale di riempimento del ponte è stato rimosso, rendendo così possibile la visita dell'interno della struttura. Per accedervi è necessario richiederne l'apertura presso l'ufficio del turismo del comune di Ascoli Piceno (salvo nella stagione estiva, quando viene tenuto aperto a beneficio dei numerosi turisti).
