We will be pleased to can show The impressive villa of 4000sq.mts ofPiazza Armerina stands at 721mt. to the Erei Mountains,in center of Sicily, this name derives from the latin "Audience" (Market Square). In 1862, " Armerina" (Castle of arms) was added to thhe village grew around it, then unfortunately damaged and perhaps destroyed during the domination of the Vandals and the Visigoths after it was in use, at least in part, during Byzantine and Arab periods. We can drive you to Caltagirone, Today it is the most famous Ceramic town in Sicily! The city's name derives from the Arabic "qal'at-al-jarar" ("Castle of [pottery] jars") - a name that attests to the antiquity of the pottery works which are still thriving. It has been inhabited since prehistoric times, as shown by the presence of two necropolises dating from the second millennium BCE and by numerous other archaeological finds. It was later inhabited by the Sicels pre-Roman population.The impressive staircase: one hundred forty-two steps that connect the upper town to lower town. Had a great holiday in Sicily and Roberto was a big part of that he is professional efficient relaxed and intuitive with a ability to stop and let me take photos all over the place - yes very patient. His knowledge of the area and people was excellent and he was informative and interesting - for example a passing comment about liking different cheeses was quickly followed by an improvised cheese tasting experience with Roberto explaining the different cheeses and what they went with. Roberto also gave you your own space to look at some place of interest and it was very relaxed and the information Roberto gave you before you got there was enough to ensure you saw all the salient points. Would recommend Roberto and his service and him as a genuinely great person to anyone going to Sicily - all the best Roberto for the future

Roberto was a great choice for our trip. He brought us to the best spots and his restaurants recommendations were simply amazing. He was attentive to our needs, as we were traveling with young kids. We are definitively going back to Sicily with Roberto!

Roberto picked us up yesterday and took is to Mount Etna & then to a wonderful Lunch at Gambino Vini Winery. Roberto was wonderful, so informative & so much fun! Great day out. I would highly recommend Sicily Tours & Taxi to anyone. It was a definite highlight of our Trip. Thanks Roberto!
