The location is great, the atmosphere is pleasant, the food is still good, the service is aseptic, the dining manager (spectacled old man waiter) is simply ill-mannered, and if you're unlucky enough to be serviced by him, he will ruin your evening, like a rancid cup of coffee.

In the middle the historycal centre. Traditional old scool italian restaurant. The prices are so high. Example the service prize 4.5eur/person.

Me and my husband went there for lunch in a hot summer day. Good typical Bolognese cuisine, but . The waiters were not polite. I think it's because we didn't have formal outfit. They have a strong non written face control. What a pity

This is a poor restaurant with a really great location in Bologna. I imagine they stay open because of the location and draw tourists in from the street. We saw this one of of those online lists of places to try. Please don't make the mistake we did. My wife and I are chefs and are never the kind to trash a place for one reason, but this place tried to charge us for food we didn't order. Thank goodness there was salt on the table because the lasagna and papparadelle with porcini seemed like they were cooked without salted pasta water and no one tasted the sauces. They then acted like we didn't order enough food when we told them we wanted the check.

September 2016- Old reviews of rudeness and 'Italian only' are totally out of date. Very friendly - waiters helpful and spoke many languages. Menu is in Italian but translations and explanations offered freely. Menu is now both traditional Bolognese and modern Italian.

Just returned from Bologna and visited this restaurant for my birthday as had been recommended in the city guide. Big mistake the waiters were rude and unwelcoming. The menu was all in Italian and when we asked for some assistance with translation the waiter was unwilling to help and threw on the table a booklet of English translation which did not include many of the items on the menu, then to top it all the food itself was appalling and poorly presented, the worst meal we have ever had in Italy after 20 years of extensive travel. Avoid at all costs there are many other welcoming restaurants close by offering great cuisine at reasonable prices.

Old school restaurant. Waiters are dressed in tuxedo with bow ties. If you are not used to European mannerism you may think they are rude. The staff is lovely and the food is great. Although I did find a strand of hair in my food. Yuk! I still had a great time. In case you want to eat authentic place this is it. Do dress up. Jeans and running shoes stay at the hotel.
