  Filippo Strozzi, ricco mercante, commissionò la costruzione a Benedetto da Maiano nel 1489. L'edificio è uno dei vertici dell'architettura rinascimentale e riprende le forme di Palazzo Medici.

  Thursday night open late, Strozzina (contemporary section) free from 6-11pm! Great place not just for exhibits but to hang in the courtyard (free wifi), cafe' or bookstore.
