All the food was really tasty and the atmosphere was great, but, frankly, the portions were so tiny that after a tasting menu we needed to snack at home

Despite some poor reviews. We had a fantastic meal this evening. If you want a cheap meal in a tourist environment this is not the place for you. This is excellent fine dining with impeccable service and quality ingredients. A change from the usual tourist traps and a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended.

I thought this restaurant had nice ambience and nice staff. That is all. The bread came as many different types and they were all very hard and not tasty. The homemade pici with pepper and cheese was horrible. The pasta was so al dente it got stuck on the fronts of my teeth when I bit it. The suave tasted like flor and pepper instead of cheese. It was pasty like gravy made from flour. I normally do not complain, but they decided to then take advantage of the Americans and charge us for the complimentary bread that we did not eat and add on an extra bottle of water. Then they charged an additional 10%, which some touristy places are doing. The food was expensive, too. Don't go there.

This is a fish restaurant and they do their fish well. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for their pasta which is fairly average and on our case had to be sent back as it came out cold.

As other people have already mentioned the bread is not complimentary and thrust upon you. We knew this and so expected it, but I don't think this approach does the restaurant any favours.

House wine was good though. Wife also enjoyed her chocolate fondant desert, couldn't say the same for my chocolate crumb with olive oil and truffle! I suppose my fault for ordering something that clearly would never work.

If you fancy some fish then do visit, it is more on the fine dining sider of things than other restaurants in the area so portions are small.

A restaurant nearby of trevi fountain. The quality of food was quite good and also fresh prepared (for the food I would give 4 points) , but I can only give 2 points at all as we figured out the same issue with the bread. Which means, it was brought to our place, although we didn't ordered it, but it was charged with 4€ per person. Hopefully they change it in future, because the food was good.

8 Euros for bread they bring out to you when you sit down.
We did not ask for any bread, but in Italy it is a given that they bring you bread. Imagine our shock when we were charged 8 Euros for it!!
I ordered the pasta with prawns and truffle. My dining companion ordered the squid ink gnocchi.
I bit into the rigatoni tube and it was clear that it was dry pasta and at least 5 minutes under cooked. Absolutely the worst pasta I have ever tasted!
The prawns were good. The truffle required no preparation from this clearly untrained cook - so they were good.
My friend asked me to taste his dish. He said it was really salty. I had a taste. The gnocchi was well cooked and the black squid ink "sauce" tasted like black salt.
    Just awful!
The wine was good, but grossly overpriced.
Again, the kitchen didn't have to prepare the wine.
After we were clearly done, the server came over to ask if we wanted cafe, dolce. She finally asked how the food was. I explained how under cooked the pasta was etc.
She said sorry, and gave us our 56 Euro bill.
We left starving and feeling really ripped off.
We went back to our air bnb, and visited the local trattoria called Luzzi.
We ate amazing antipasti and pizza. We drank wine and beer and paid 27 Euro.
Do Not Waste your hard earned money on this pretentious dive.
