This is a lovely place to stay for a vacation. The staff is very friendly and cooperating. It's a great deal for the price.

We stayed in room 212 on July 8th. The air conditioning in the lobby, hallways, and our room was not cooling properly. I reported the issue twice and nothing was done. I also reported it when I checked out and no action was taken. I could not sleep since we were unable to cool our room. I also reported the issue to the corporate office but they have not responded. This hotel has a lot of potential but unfortunately is not a comfortable place to stay.

Not a great location for city sightseeing but this hotel does offer a free shuttle to the city a couple times a day. Decent breakfast included with the room charge. Rooms have deep bathtubs with very hot water. Coffeemaker in room, mini bar with water, soda etc. for a fee. Our carpet was very stained. Typical Novotel hotel.

I have been waiting at their bar for over 20 minutes just to get some water. Not one person came to talk to me, actually had to go out of my way to ask a server to help me. Room are okay I guess, however I'm surprised there is no water in the whole hotel available unless you buy it at the bar downstairs or one small bottle in the mini fridge upstairs. I suggest coming prepared because there is no markets near by. Place would be much better if the had a market open for guests or at least had a water fountain.

We stayed three nights at this hotel. The hotel is a ways outside the city but not unreasonably far away. The rooms were clean and fairly well kept, although the bathroom had some mildew and the shower curtain should probably be replaced. The restaurant had good food and good service. Our first meal in Florence was at the hotel restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Breakfast every morning had lots of variety and everything was very fresh. They handled our group of 90 with ease.

Reception staff isn't reactive and it is not trained to welcome clients,
As an Accor Platinum members I needed to ask for every single benefit that I am supposed to receive and no recognition to my status was given at any moment. (IHG hotels do a much better work and have a much better loyalty program)
They were rooms available for an upgrade, but it was not until I asked for one that I was given the upgrade. The receptionist was proposing me a paid upgrade.
Once in the room a bathrobe was missing as we were two people. We called the reception, and were told to wait, but after half and hour of waiting we were forced to go down to the reception to complain that no one came to the room and we were waiting to take a shower.
I talked straight to the manager and asked a compensation. He offered to give me free breakfast but he wanted to exchange it for my welcome drinks. I refused and stated that the free drinks are a benefit for been a loyal Platinum client and the breakfast was a compensation for the bad service.
Up until now, I do not know what's the VIP treatment in your Novotel. Juste before I was in Mercure Viareggio and I was automatically upgraded to a suite upon arrival and a nice pack of cookies and a bottle of wine were waiting for me at the room in addition to my welcome drinks.
I am very dissatisfied as everything was so slow from the beginning, I paid part of my stay with points Accor. But I believe it was a bad idea as I waited for 15 minutes for the receptionist to be able to process the payment and give me the keys of the room.
Overall, I am disappointed with my experience here and with the Accor fidelity program.response / report this review -

Very comfortable bed. The hotel is very near the #30 city bus line so it is easy and cheap to get to town and back to your hotel at night. The #30 goes from one tram station away from the main train station to a few hundred meters from the hotel.

Good for sleeping in while travelling between places. No good for an extended stay. As with many hotels in this region, the pool ceases to be available once summer officially ends. This is despite what the weather may be like (so it may be really hot but they refuse to open the pool). This said, the rooms are clean if rather plain. It's also not close to any tourist attractions, so don't stay here imagining that you can have a comfortable walk around town. Won't happen. Probably won't use it again.
