Great location. You can walk to the center if you are a good walker. Bus is nearby. 10 minutes to a grocery store. Bikes are free for the first hour. Great hot breakfast included. Staff very accommodating. Across the street from the beach!

Very nice hotel located right near the beach. Very friendly staff and comfortable rooms. 4 stars because decor can seem a bit dated.

Bella esperienza. Abbondanti colazioni a buffet, internazionali. Camere ben insonorizzate e pulite. Personale gentile. Peccato per il parcheggio.

In 1994-1999, I stayed there often. Through a mutual friend, I was introduced to the (then) owner and general manager. He spoke little English and I little Italiano but, most evenings after work, Sr. Sabatini would be waiting for me with a beer (on the house).
I was usually tired but could not resist his comfort and friendship.
One night, I was planning a jam session with some friends but was afraid I would disturb my fellow travelers. I informed the front desk. "No problem. Take the penthouse for the evening. Just clean up when you are done."
The parking is deplorable. Get there early or park on the street (or the sidewalk, once you are familiar with the local ambiance).
They had a nice beach-spot rental and bar across the street. But the main thing was knowing I was staying with friends.
I do not know what the Maja is like now but I'd book it again.
