Has a front desk with 24 hour desk.

pros: dedicated building with 24 hr desk, elevator, clean room and bathroom, safe , large TV, WiFi, helpful and friendly staff, location

Cons: lobby is one floor up

Stay away from this place. Great staff but old neglected about everything. Great location but scary old and ugly. The pictures on the web must been taken 40 years ago. Is not dirty but old carpets, curtains, and the rest is too cheap. But they charge as a good one. NO STAR for this one.

The location and price of this hotel is what make it stand out from others in the city. It is located just a few steps away from Piazza del Duomo and many of the other main cites in the city. If arriving by train from Santa Maria Novella it is about a 10-15 minute walk (1km). The hotel is older, and has a décor to match. The elevator is very small; so a few trips may be necessary if you are traveling with a lot of luggage. We booked our stay only about a day prior to our trip (oops) and were stuck with a two twin bed room. The room was large but the beds were rather uncomfortable.
When leaving the hotel you are required to leave the key at the front desk, which some people may have an issue with, but it serves a good purpose and added no inconvenience to us. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful, and allowed us to store our bags in the front until our room was ready. Overall we had a great experience here and would recommend it to those who wan to stay in the center of everything!
