Simple hotel about fifteen minutes walk to the Vatican. Though, my backpack was stolen in hotel restaurant. Sadly, lack of cctv cameras.
Pretty average hotel. Some rooms are a pretty dated but others seem to be modernized, so they must be in the middle of renovations. Breakfast was pretty bad when I stayed - mostly plain bread, canned fruit, and mediocre pastries. That said, it opens pretty early (at 6:30) which is good depending on your travel plans.
Wi-Fi is slow and flaky, but that seems to be the case for all the hotels I've stayed at in Italy.
Peeling wallpaper, The bathroom door had extensive water damage even though it was 3 cm above the floor. We were on the third floor! Black mold in the shower area and tiles. Also they charge for internet, even Mexico has better hotels at the same star rating.
Good location. Had 3 in my room - very spacious compared to some of the other hotels we've been to. Staff was very polite and helpful!
Nasty hotel, first night I had to call for service because the bathtub was clogged and dirty. Dinner is very poor therefore get ready to dine out. Staff not very friendly they literally watch till you finish your meal and they come very fast to clean up you feel they want to kick you out. The day I check out they ask me to pay my bill 36 cents and I gave them 40 cents, when I got in the tour bus the tour guide announced it louder that I had to pay my bill which I already done so. It was embarrassing and disgusting considering the whole group stay at this hotel for 4 days. I gave them one star because the breakfast is the only thing that is good although one morning we could not stay for breakfast and they pack us some bags which contained one apple, one little box juice, one croissant with jam. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody and definitely I will never go there again.
The hotel is a little bit too pricey for the service that it provides, but it's very near to the Supreme Court and that's why I stay there when I visit Rome for work. Clean rooms albeit a little bit old. The ones on the street are noisy, too. The staff is very courteous and friendly and the breakfast is good.
Nice Hotel, close to Vatican city and helpful personel
Older rooms. Tour group breakfast was decent but dinners disappointed. Good location.
We stayed at the Cicerone in Rome in July 2016. Perfect location you can walk to most of the attractions in Rome. Close to some class restaurants. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast is very good and our stay was a pleasure. We would certainly be back there if we return to Rome. Rooms are good with some larger than others. Very clean with a good bathroom. Great little bottle shop across the road. The only issue was the WiFi only worked really well on the ground floor.
The staff is incredibly helpful. We had to ask so many questions since our baggage was lost. They were patient and understanding. They had plenty of maps they used to show us around. It seems like the hotel is in a pretty safe area with much to do around it. The room is clean, and there is a very convenient safe for passports and the like.
