Hotel/Ostello dai prezzi modici. Non aspettatevi nulla di esoso ma per il prezzo va più che bene. Le camere sono pulite e soprattutto il bagno. Se dovete andarci in estate lo sconsiglio visto che non ha climatizzatori.

Inexpensive and efficiently on three main bus lines into the city center.

I stayed in two rooms, one not perfectly clean, but they gladly moved me to another room. The breakfast was a limited but good buffet. And many windows open onto the backs of nearby buildings. Generally at the high end for a two-star, except perhaps for the visual state of the building -- but the hostel delivers where it counts, with good beds and facilities.

It is quiet and in a great neighborhood, run by helpful people, with good information about the city. The common space room with public computers (and free wired + wireless internet) is a great place to work.

(NB: I visited a friend at a 4-star hotel in the city center, and was pleased to note that the Internet at Campidoglio was not only freer but 2-3x faster :-)
