Loved the size of the room for Florence. Included everything you need and more. Great location. Close to main attractions. Staff is very helpful.

Very great location. Less than a minute to the Dome, 3 min on foot to the Ufizzi, less than 10 min on foot to most of sites.
It is 17-18 cent. building so dont expect a modern and vast entrace, etc
Having said that Axial have nice big rooms. With 100 channel TV all in Italy no BBC WORLD sadly, safe and a nice bathroom and shower. Very clean but dated decor as it is floreance typical decor though.
Rooms are smoke free but the little garden is smoking area. As the rooms NOT HAVE air con (just a fan coil, i.e. heat in the winter and cold air in the summer months only used for the whole building) therefore you can not cool your room down if the heat is on like in March/April. So you have to open the window and all the smoke comes to your room!!! @$#÷×!$÷3
Staff are great and very friendly.
Hotel Maxim is not as good as Axial is though.
By the way hotel Axial is located in thr 1st floor and hotelier done everything he could to make a nice rooms and hotel as he could with this old building.

This was the best hotel we stayed at in our three weeks in Italy. The hotel is located only two blocks from the Duomo and within walking distance to the most every major attraction in Florence. The rooms were large very clean, modern, and the air conditioning worked well. Francesco single-handedly made our stay amazing. He offered great recommendations and advice and was very friendly and dedicated to making our stay is good as possible.The price was very reasonable as well.
