Great hotel, with a very good location right in the city center. Breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of sweet and savoury. Cristian is a very nice person, and he will help you with everything you need, including finding the best transportation method for you. Highly recommended

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Due to travel delay, I arrived at 10:30pm in the pouring rain, all alone, to find that the hotel was CLOSED. Not only did I have to spend a good sum of money on a last minute hotel across the street, but when I went to Hotel Antica Repubblica the next morning, they told me that they would not be able to accommodate me even for the second night (which I had already paid for!!) as per their "no show" policy. I was NOT a no show: my train was late, my phone wasn't working, and I arrived a mere 30mins after their max. check-in time (which is NOT highlighted when you book). Just because they weren't able to get in contact with me, does not permit the way I was treated. I would have understood paying the cost for the first night, but to not be able to stay there the second night when the room was empty? And to still be charged for the entire "stay"? Absolutely despicable. That is not how you treat people. You were warned.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel l'ultimo weekend di Marzo. Il proprietario Cristian si è dimostrato subito molto gentile (sin dalla telefonata del giorno precedente) e disponibile per qualsiasi evenienza. Sebbene siamo arrivati prima dell'orario per il check-in Cristian ci ha permesso di lasciare le valigie già in albergo, stessa cosa al ritorno quando ci ha tenuto le valigie fino all'orario in cui abbiamo lasciato Amalfi. La camera "Il cavaliere" (con vista sulla via principale) era piuttosto spaziosa, composta di 3 ambienti (camera da letto-bagno-stanza con balcone e frigo bar). Buona pulizia, asciugamani forse un po' datati (non per trovare il pelo nell'uovo ma qualcuno presentava qualche buco e su uno addirittura c'era una striscia rossa, forse ruggine bho). Colazione semplice ma sufficiente in una stanza piuttosto piccola perché il terrazzo non era ancora agibile visto il vento dei giorni precedenti. Consigliatissimo per la posizione e per il personale! Incantevole hotel in zona centralissima ad Amalfi, personale molto cordiale che ci ha fornito preziosi consigli su escursioni e locali dove poter mangiare l' ottima cucina amalfitana.

This hotel was a fantastic find. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable (and believe me, I'm picky about temperature, space and comfort) and well appointed.The location is almost unbeatable. Overall I couldn't recommended this place enough.
