A super interesting musuem for learning Rome's history and how layers of civilization can pile in one place. The same ticket gets you into two other great musuems. Definitely worth the price.

This fascinating museum for an excellent job displaying the layer upon layer that IS Rome. It is at first difficult to interpret, so get tickets for the tour of the basement and then start at the top. It demonstrates and interprets the layers that existed in the site over the millennia.
I would like a bit more interpretation in the basement. And if you have any disabilities walking the basement will be a challenge.
This is an interesting museum that had the potential to change the way you think of Rome.

In a country with lots of history amd bad museums this one is one of the best. Good exhibits with plenty of information (sometimes too much). The walk with the "guide" was awesome but i would have hope for the "guide " to the say something.

A wonderful examination of the history of the area, with what was built on top of what over the centuries. Gives a good perspective on just how much the city has changed, even over the course of the Roman period alone.

This is a very interesting museum if you take the archeological "tour" at the times listed at the ticket desk which is included in the price. The staff take you through a locked door to where there is a portion of an excavated street, some rooms, and an outdoor line of latrines.

A very interesting and historical place where you can run thrue history it contains lots of information about the area around and the transformation over more than 2000 years. It's part of a package with the Marcellus bath.

I really enjoyed my visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The displays were very good with detailed descriptions in English. And the excavations were very interesting. Plus there were very few people in there so I was able to take my time.
