Okay so maybe they should get a two for the service but the hotel is a first class dump. Unless you own a yacht Sardina is not somewhere anyone should go. The hotel conned us because there are two with the colonna name. It just wasn't at all a luxury resort.

Had a great experience here. Got the ocean view room on the first floor which was great, but we asked to get a room in the second floor which was the best and got it! Awesome pools, small private beach, but lots of better and more awesome beaches within a few minutes.

Well, you get what you pay for. Pretty expensive but very relaxing. A few pools in several levels provide more privacy. The beach and the view are beautiful. The rooms are cleaned twice a day. The pools are very clean and filled with sea water. A jacuzzi goes without saying. Plus, they have a shuttle to Porto Cervo. Also, if your flight is late, they give you a 30min courtesy room for a shower after the pool.

We visited Colonna resort for our first wedding anniversary and it was superb! The pools are HUGE with plenty of space for busy times. There is a quaint beach to take a dip in the crystal clear sea aswell. The food is fantastic, we had a different menu every day, a good selection of drinks and the staff were very prompt and friendly. Language is not an issue here if you don't speak Italian very well. They spoke English, French and German from what we could hear.
We visited in mid May which was very quiet though I would recommend the later end of the season as the pools and sea were a little bit cool, though we still had a good swim!
We hired a car for our visit which we would say is essential if you want to explore this area of Sardinia. Grab a guide book and just go!
We will definitely be coming back! Grazie! CIAO!

Location: Very nice location, private beach. Main bar overlooks 5 pools cascading the hillside. All the pools are salt water. Lots of space around the pools and beach is fairly empty. They also serve dinner at the restaurant(not included) so no need to eat out. However they have implemented a strict dress code. A car is a must, the hotel is a fairly isolated and they have adequate parking facilities.
Rooms: Comfy bed, minibar, safe. Decor consistent through hotel, exposed beams. Good views from the room (ocean view).
Service: They have a system where they want you to order drink from the pool instead of ordering from "pool bar". There is a surcharge of 3 euros every time you want to order a drink from the pool and after going up to the bar mulitple time to try and order drinks, they strongly insisted on bringing you the drinks and charge the €3. This would normally be fine but bar staff would walk around very infrequently and some days it took up to 45 minutes to get a drink using this "service". This along with smaller complaints like not being able to have proper glassware for lunch
Not a large selection at breakfast, took quite long to order eggs which are also extra.
Even thought I think they shouldn't cost extra, these services are not up to par for a 5 star hotel.

View is very nice, amenities are enough, service is moderate, breakfast is not wirth having in the hotel, price is too much as compared to other hotels around.

Very relaxing with good view and a nice pool (the wager of the pool is sea water but it is super)

The resort is a bit big, so expect to walk

We have really enjoyed our honeymoon here Stunning hotel and pools with amazing staff that can't do enough for you Especially Enrico caruccio!! Amazing guy always made us feel welcome and couldn't do enough for us to make our week so special.. Always smiling and good manors..He is a credit to the hotel..
