It is a holy place that balances braoque grandiosity and spiritual solemnity. The Church of Gesu Nuovo is the Neapolitan counterpart of the Church of the Gesu in Rome. It is run by Jesuits and home to the remains of San Giuseppe Moscati.
The height of the Chiesa gave you the impression that it soared towards the heavans. The artwork and craftsmanship was a wonder to behold. Definitelya must see.
Free entry. Amazing interior design.
Simply unbelievable to see this opulent fine artwork all I. Marble from this very unassuming exterior to simply the most awe inspiring interior and free to enter please pay a gratuity at the door well worth it other places would charge easily 5 euros
Interesting facade led me inside. Takes your breath away.
One of the finest architectures in Naples, the Chiesa del Gesù Nuovo is a must see attraction for both tourists and Neapolitans. The entrance is free, and it is also possible to visit a small museum entitled to Saint Giuseppe Moscati which feels pretty folkloric.
I was just walking around the neighbourhood as a tourist and I saw the quirky exterior and decided to get in. I've never used the expression Oh my God in a better way! The interior is just overwhelmingly beautiful, full of amazing details in every little corner. Worth the visit!
