One of the best Neapolitan churches. It's architecture is expressively Gothic. There are a lot of medieval tombs of XIV-XV centuries. Admission is free but any donation is welcomed and highly appreciated. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light.

una delle più antiche chiese a Napoli, si trova all'inizio della via dei Presepi (San Gregorio Armeno).
Vicino all'altare si può vedere uno scavo che ha riportato alla luce un pavimento di epoca romana, e forse uno ancora più antico.response / report this review -

Il vero DNA di Napoli la si può vedere solo qui ammirando soprattutto gli scavi greco-romano de "La Neapolis Sotterrata". Un pezzo dell' antica città di Napoli col vecchio mercato "Macellum" ed un' antica strada con le botteghe a lato. Un vero viaggio nel tempo come gli scavi di Pompei. Personale gentile e guide esperte.

Beautiful basilica with a wide array of impressive works of art from early Renaissance works from the School of Giotto through Ferdinando Sanfelice's late 18th-century Baroque facade.
