Remarkable piece of art and history at the heart of the town. I credible architecture. The highlight is the Cupola del Correggio. You need to put a coin in the machine to have it lit up. It's worth it though.

Spectacular cathedral with a remarkable level of decoration. The early medieval fabric of the cathedral was been redecorated many times, and is now mostly of Reformation period. Very crowded with tourist groups, but very well managed.

It's really worth a trip to visit Parma and the Cathedral is something not to be missed. Incredible, centuries old building. Inside you could get close to unbelievable artworks. Experience of a lifetime.

Its a beautiful cathedral that is hidden from the main road. The art work on the walls is really good and the side chapels are very well done.

Amazing frescos. We visited twice at different times of the day as it was dark at our first visit. (Sun helps really bring out the details and beauty of the dome and ceiling, by the way) very quiet. Very solemn.

The paintings inside the church are wonderful. The cupola fresco of the Assumption by Antonio da Correggio is one of the most beautiful paintings to see. You won't get the same feeling seeing it in a picture as seeing ir live.

beautiful cathedral in Parma. the nave and sanctuary are distinctly separated by a flight of stairs that makes this cathedral very unique.

Beautiful! I might raise a few complaints with this, but I felt that the painted frescoes were easily comparable to the Sistine Chapel. The painted ceiling was lovely to look at, and the cathedral had a nice, peaceful vibe to it. You weren't herded along like you were in the more popular places of worship.
The piazza outside is lovely too, and quite impressive with the surrounding buildings. Entry is free, which is a nice bonus!
