Nice enough rooms, location and breakfast which had lots of fruit, but also a la carte items. Friendly helpful staff. But I have to take a star off because they don't provide kettles in the room, you have to go to the breakfast room. With a baby, having hot water to hand was important. It was not due to overload of circuits as our suite had a swanky steam shower like a Turkish bath

This hotel is absolutely amazing. Nothing bad to say about it only I didn't get a chance to stay there longer!!!

During the check-in process, we were provided tour booklets with a map.for Ortigia. The rates are favorable when compared to U.S. luxury properties.
The reception that we were granted was very gracious. The manager took time to show us around the premises, so that we could take note of the business office available for guests; the section where the breakfast was served in the morning; several sitting areas where people could gather; a well stocked bar; a side bar area where there would be complimentary coffee, tea and wine served along with snacks.
Then we were escorted to our lovely room which was beautifully appointed, Italian style. Not only did we notice the typical amenities of free WIFI, satellite TV, A/C, hairdryer, slippers, complimentary breakfast etc., we also had a minibar with complimentary sodas, bottled waters and juices; and in addition, we could use the room phone to call just about anywhere at no charge.
This is an exquisite 18th century hotel which is located in the heart of Ortigia making it easy to navigate this amazing town on foot.. Across the street you can see the waterfront
.It has undergone a major restoration which conforms with its original structure. All rooms are furnished differently with antique furniture, four poster beds, Italian luxury interior designs and with a distinctive Sicilian touch such as colorful bathroom tiles.response / report this review -
