I didn’t go inside the church but the place is beautiful and you must stop there just to take a few pictures of the landscape ! Amazing view on the seaside, and Vik.

I'm not religious but as soon as I saw this adorable little church on the hill top I was obsessed with getting a great photo of it. What a sweet sight at the top of the hill! I made my friends drive to the top of the hill and tried a bunch of different angles. It was cold and no one else was crazy enough to get out of the car but I was on a mission. This became my favorite photo of the Eastern part of Iceland! What a beautiful view!

A beautiful church, in a special location with a unique view over Reynisfjara. Stands over Vík. Go up-hill, next to the local cemetery for an even better view.

Great place to stay. Rooms are big and comfy. A bit expensive (but i guess its the normal rate for a hotel in iceland). They have a resto, bar, and thats about it.

Best part here is that the bathroom floor is heated!

The view to the rock formations of Reynisdrangar in the distance are with the visit. The church in itself is just another white and red Icelandic church, you'll find some more on your ring road trip. :)

Many tourists come to Vik and get a picture of the church, but it's worth it to drive up to the church. Amazing views from there!

You can see this church from the road and it looks so beautiful sitting on a small hill. The town of Vik is nice, and had a few great restaurants. Passed here on the way to Jokusarlon.
