Cute little spot overlooking the harbor for basic lunch foods and coffees. We got two Pylsur hot dogs and enjoyed them. Popular spot for tour buses to stop, but not crowded if you time it right.
Service was good, food was just ok. Fish was mushy and wet. You gotta dry before you fry.
If you have ever driven the 101 Highway through California, Oregon, and Washington on the US coast and you got used to stopping at solid non fancy places to eat, this one fits the bill. Good food, friendly staff, and a nice break from fighting the wind all day on Highway 1 (RingRoad). Clean restrooms, complimentary coffee and tea for customers. Had the fish & chips, very fresh fish. Fried (chips) have an odd curry like spice flavoring.
Awesome service.. great view of the harbour, had vegetarian hotdogs which were so good!!!!!! Great wee find.. highly recommend!!!!!! :-)
The cafe has a decent selection of teas/coffees/cakes and a reasonably priced meals (typical Icelandic cafe menu: hotdogs, hamburgers etc). Seems to be pretty recently refurbished, with a modern but cosy feel. Great for families, having a fantastic toy corner! Plus, features views at the village's pretty harbour.
This place was great! They cooked food for us with our extrawishes and the price was cheaper than normally in Iceland.
We had a nice stop. The atmosphere was calming, price good. We felt welcome.
A nice little stop in a nice little town. The atmosphere was calming after driving in hard rain for hours, prices are actually pretty good, slightly lower than surrounding towns. Loved the fish and chips, despite the small portions. The vegetarian hot dog was a bit strange.
food was quite good and not too pricy. it is not as fancy as other places but totally ok. very friendly staff. know, that you have to order food at the counter. they also have a little grocery corner.
Good place to have a lunch with a nice view on the harbour. Food was good but nothing special. Prices are reasonable.
Nice place for a generous coffee or tea and delicious cakes. Nice view on the harbor. Friendly staff.
Plenty of vegetarian options! Prices reasonable for Iceland. The soup of that day..thai ginger soup with bread was indeed delicious and the free self-refill option is highly appreciated. The meal of the day came with free dessert which was strawberry skyr that day! Plenty of parking space and clean toilets.
Got the Fish & chips coz they said it is freshly caught from that morning. You can actually see the boats across the restaurant that caught their fish :) The hotdog (pylsur) is sooo good! I normally don't eat them but hey, you're in Iceland so you got to try what everyone is raving about. they were renovating that day and it is very noisy from the machines, but I won't hold that against them. Business must be good :) the views from this place is stunning! Staff is super friendly!
Great place to have lunch. Beautiful view. Nice staff.
Awesome staff! Nine of us showed for dinner and asked for directions. They cooked up amazing fish and chips, helped us with hugely important road information for snowed out routes and gave us free coffee. Respect.
Came here as the popular Langabud was closed for winter. This is a nice place where we had good Fish & Chips (2100 ISK), and lovely Hot Chocolate (300 ISK). Also got to see the Chelsea v Leicester match they were projecting.
Decent fish and chips - not huge but fresh. Nice cost-efficient hotdogs. A cheaper option in town with a nice view of the harbour.
