Good campsite with excellent facilities. Large outside BBQ area, children's play area, outside kitchen area for cleaning your dishes. There is an inside kitchen and washing up area with a large selection of goods left by previous campers which would be great to top up your supplies of things like oil, flour etc. Friendly and helpful staff, free WiFi, the inside area is also nicely heated which is useful if you need to get out of some of the more extreme Icelandic weather.

This campsite is great! It is quiet and the staff is very nice. I can’t speak for the kitchen/common area as we didn’t use it but it looked lovely. Bathrooms and showers were great. Bathrooms were even warm! Plenty of space to do dishes etc. There are two sets of bathrooms, one attached to the main building and the other close to the van/RV area. Also there’s a bin for extra shampoos/soaps that are available to use. Great place!

We did the whole ring road and i can confidently say this was the best campsite we visited! The laundry machine and dryer barely work but other than that expect excellence.

We stayed for two nights last week (April vacation) and LOVED the facilities. Everything was clean and open. Great little town surrounding the campsite as well. Thank you!

We stayed here mid March and it's open! Very clean bathroom and shower facilities. Some cozy restaurants nearby so we went for fish and chips and beers. It's also very close to Blue Lagoon.

Nice and quite cheep campsite with good facilities. In the kitchen area you can cook your dinner for free. In main season it can be quite crowded. Showers and toilets in main building is opened only during day (8:00 - 22:00).

[Winter Camping Review] very beautiful grounds with lots of shelter for tents. Main kitchen facilities are closed for the season but there are heated bathrooms and showers alongside free WIFI. Didn't find a ranger to pay so left some cash under the door to building. Summer rate for 2017 was 1700 IKR per person.

Very nice facilitates. They have small cabins to rent and the kitchen area has everything you would need if you want to cook dinner out of the cold. All in all very nice and would love to stay here again.

This should be your first stop in Iceland. It's a nice camp ground with nice facilities. The kitchen and showers are unfortunately only open between 8-22, but since the kitchen is always manned everything is tidy and nice. The reason this should be your first stop is because it's everybody else's last stop, meaning the take-and-leave-table is packed with good stuff; food, ethanol, gas cartridges etc.

The ground is flat and the grass short, but the soil is also extremely shallow, making it hard to push tent poles into the hard ground. The area is surrounded by walls to protect the camping from oncoming winds.

Hot showers are included, which is a plus. There are only a few toilets, so lines can be long since the camping can be crowded (probably due to the short distance to the airport).

Nice campsite to stay before your leave or after your arrival. Not much around here in terms of nature, but it's close to the airport, which is the reason people are staying here I think. All facilities included, kitchen was full at the time we were here and it was hard to find a place to sit. There's also a place where people put groceries they didn't use and you can use them (and of course add some yourself :) ). Propane cartridges as well.

Really good facilities and close to the airport. It was only a 30min drive to the airport which was convenient as we had a 7:50am flight the following day.

There were a lot of campers in tents and a lot of both big and small Camper Vans - but the grounds didn't feel crowded.

There were plenty of toilets and kitchen facilities but the downside was there were only two showers (2 in the men's and 2 in the women's). The reception closes at 8pm and the showers close at 10pm.

This place is amazing. There are large, clean, private shower roomsthe best of any campsite we stayed in. The common area is warm and tidy, with a couple stovetops for cooking. The camping spaces are pretty much a grassy parking lot, so expect some neighbors. Groceries are a 10 minute walk.
