Beautiful area. Relaxing and perfect for a quiet getaway, for only about an hour drive from Reykjavík. Area is good for taking walks, fishing in Þingvellir lake and seeing colorful sunsets over the lake. In late summer there are some areas around there where you can try to find wild blueberries and blackcurrants.
