Perfect place , cheap fresh food, and Nice people. I took the buffet .. The Spicy vegetable soup , the fish was awesome They prepare big cake very delicious well dosed . A plus , a must .

Cosy, homely. Great food, the lamb stew was large and a superb balance of meat and vegetables but a little too salty for my taste. The fish stew was on the small side.

This place is wonderful! Great food - the Icelandic burger and fish stew were all from local ingredients and tasted amazing. The Viking lager on tap is really nice and the staff are great! Try it out!

What a lovely place. Really friendly and genuine staff and owners. Food was great, including the desert.
Tasteful and subtle and good flavours.
Would definitely recommend and will go back.

Stopped here for dinner after our host suggested it. The bistro is quite laid back in tempo and decor. Enjoyed the atmosphere on a Sunday evening with several other tables. Wife really enjoyed Lamb chops and I experimented with pulled haddock soup. The soup doesn't come with broth, but is topped with melted cheese. Highly recommend.

I ordered the 200gr beef sirloin with the lobster tail. In the first bite the meat just melted in my mouth. There is a nice quite atmosphere with polite waiters the place is clean and tidy. First time in Iceland and out of all the meals I've had, this playlist E I. My opinion was the best. Keep up the good work ladies and gents.

Really beautiful historical feel - 'Skyr' being such a staple in the Icelandic diets - with cozy, clean, charming little rooms.
I would Rebook and highly recommend.
The cafe/restaurant as well is wonderfully charming and very good fine dining with excellent service!

A stunning gastronomic discover in Iceland. Prices are fare and quality of ingredients is real first class. Moreover the owner is always smiling and takes time in order to take care of every customer. Everything is home made, and we found over baked potatoes among the best we've ever tasted.
In the menu, lunch and dinner, there's always a meat, fish and vegetarian option.
The furnishing is cozy, original, and comfortable.
Recommended 10/10, haven't found something so good in all iceland

Had the mix seafood soup. It was amazing! Coziest restaurant ambiance I experienced in Iceland. The staff's English is okay but not great so asking for more information on dishes was difficult but hardly an issue since everything was so delicious.

We had a wonderful dinner here on a Sunday night at short notice on a holiday weekend. The service was reasonably friendly and very accommodating considering we also needed to keep my daughter's food gluten-free. The kids' meals were reasonable value (even by Icelandic standards) and the lamb chops for the adults were delicious. Reasonable wine choice and some tasty local beers too. If you are staying in the area, or need a dinner as you travel around the Golden Circle then this place is worth seeking out

Visited here on the return leg of the Golden Circle. The food was really good and the staff were nice and helpful. The children's menu was very reasonable with some really good, interesting choices.

It was recommended by Lonely Planet and I would agree, it is worth a visit.

Amazing place. Very very friendly staff. Delicious fresh food. The lunch buffet is great. Good interior design. I'm in love with this place! Also great feel good for having a drink. Best restaurant I've been for a long time.

The service was sweet but the food was truly disgusting.

We had an incredible dinner the night before at our hotel nearby but fancied trying somewhere new and this pub looked inviting enough. Dear god, did we make a mistake. Should've stayed where we were.

The menu was limited so we ordered the lamb chops.
Out came these deep fried lamb chops in bright orange breadcrumbs accompanied with French fries, cold peas and no joke, those smiley face chip things you get from Iceland (as in the UK supermarket, not this wonderful country).

Anyway I don't review often but thought this needed one to help people avoid this culinary nightmare.
