Service was ok and the prices are the usual high Icelandic prices, which wouldn't be so bad if the food was great but it was decidedly average. The Pizza base was rock hard and the tomato sauce on it was just tomato puree smeared on the base, on a margarita with no other toppings this made for especially bad pizza. Adding other toppings didn't really improve things however. The chicken legs and chips was pretty bland also. We went here because it offered geo thermally cooked food so if that is your reason for going here probably worth avoiding it. They did seem to have a large selection of cakes but given the disappointing main courses we decided against staying for dessert.

We visited as part of a tour so we had a set menu. The best was the thermal cooked rye bread with rhubarb compote. They make every dish using the heat from the nearby hot spring. They have a bunch of takeout selections and pizza too. But I've not tried them. They were priced at 2100 krona (about $20 US) but that's in line with this country's high prices.

Not sure how geothermal affects taste but mediocre quality overall. I guess the buffet is a better choice. Sweets look nice. Needs more love from the chef.

A nice place, waitres are very nice. Food is good. Bread home made cooked with geothermal vapor, many flavours. A huge selection of cakes.

This place is so unique and amazing! The kitchen offers several dishes that are prepared by using geothermal earth cooking. It was clean and the staff were friendly. I got the lamb stew. All of the portions were very generous. The bread and butter hit the spot after a day of exploring Iceland. The baked goods were so yummy as well!

Good variety of food, many traditional Icelandic dishes. Big (but not crazy big) portions and friendly staff. Casual setting with a bakery option. Prices are reasonable and range in case you want to go a little cheaper or go a little more crazy. Inside the decor is mostly white and is somewhere between A restaurant and a cafeteria. Our food was presented well and tasted good.
